This Thanksgiving Monday I found myself driving along Horseshoe Valley Rd (also known as #22),…read morebecause I was told the fall colours were incredible. It was the right advice - because not only were the trees some of the best I've ever seen, I got wicked pie too! ;) See, I was headed for dinner to an aunt and uncle's and was coming empty handed... So I was thrilled to find this neat little farm shop actually open on the holiday. The best part was that they had home prepared, frozen, ready-to-bake pies available. They had apple cranberry and pumpkin. I ended up choosing the apple cranberry and it was so good that if it was on my way, I'd go back for pumpkin ;) For being homemade and massive - $12 was very reasonable. I highly recommend them! As a side - they had lots of other lovely produce available...but the colours called, so I didn't browse too much after wrangling the pie.

The menu includes the fast food choices including homemade hamburgers, chicken fingers, hotdogs etc. We reluctantly tried the shawarma which seemed a little out of place on the menu. It was THEE best shawarma I have ever had! It was really loaded with chicken and the flavours were really amazing! Just the right amount of spice and juiciness. I have eaten shawarma at many venues in Toronto and Florida and this is really the best! I saw other patrons' food and they all looked very good especially the FUNNEL CAKES!! The location was very clean and servers were friendly! Go eat here and try it for yourself!

Excellent little chocolatier in an unexpected place…read more Owners and staff are extremely loving people and it reflects in their chocolates. All chocolates are made by hand the old fashioned way. They use Cacao Berry brand which tastes delicious. Their claim to fame are their ice-wine chocolates and their caramel, both of which you should definitely get. Other than that, I was extremely impressed by the number of moulds they carry. Makes for lots of playful chocolate ideas. If you need a custom made party favours, or wedding treats, etc, this is where you want to go. Their possibilities are endless, and when owner Lori took me on a tour of the place, she mentioned she still had an entire basement full of moulds. This store is about taste + creativity
