She presented me a divorce settlement that included 31K of my ex-husbands pension plan. When I received a check from IBM it amounted to 19K. I immediately called her for an explanation. She insisted IBM was wrong and that I should take it up with them. Long story short... a month later it turned out IBM paid exactly what they should have. This was Vanessa's mistake. I only wish I could the documents to this review. She even had the audacity to tell me to call my ex and straighten it out...what on earth did I pay her for! I never would have signed the divorce papers and now my only recourse is to file a malpractice suit and a complaint with the VT Bar. If you want sloppy, unprofessional work hire Vanessa to do your divorce. She cost me 12K plus years of interest because she made a mathematical error.
