I love this place! I usually do not shop at Buffalo Exchange, mostly because I can't find anything cute. But this time, I couldn't stop myself from wanting everything!! They are so friendly at this location! A black haired beauty with a ton of tattoos was soooo helpful. She pulled a red skirt off a mannequin to check the size and price for me. As my sister walked out of the store, she liked a dress off another mannequin and we walked back in, and the same girl helped us check the size on the dress, which we also bought.. We just couldn't leave the store. They have everything that's "in" right now. Gold jewelry, high low skirts, and cute summer tops. The only downside was the waiting rooms. I'm back! The BE has a good selection of clothes in varying sizes. It's part vintage, part trendy. The 50% off clearance rack always has something that I like and you better buy it because it is gone that same day. There are plenty of dressing rooms, though often also immature teens with drama playing out (she said what? if she's mad at me well then I'm mad at her!). Today I found a Robert Cavalli silk shirt for half off at $9! The manager there is really cool and always friendly. Weekends are busy for buy backs, but the line to buy is usually quick. I like that if you don't take a bag you can give $0.05 to an organization on the entrance of the door (3 boxes), which I normally do. Though sometimes the employees forget to ask. Sat. April 16 they are having a $1 sale in the alleyway to benefit a non-profit organization! MUST GO! read more

It's a hit or miss with Buffalo.. I do take my designer clothes to sell them here before I donate them and it's confusing as to what they'll take and what they'll skip on... but i've had some pretty good experiences shopping as well! It's defintiely a place to check out once in awhile but I wouldn't go shopping here everyday... the Long Beach location is a lot bigger. read more

This place is really nice and good place to get cheap clothes. I went there one day with my uncle and got some nice nike shoes for 25 bucks each. The price is reasonable and the shoe looks like it was in New Condition too as well. My friend and I went there just yesterday and he got a Kallusive Shirt worth 30 dollars for just 9 dollars and it look ed like it hasn't been worn as well. read more

I frequently sell and shop here and have for years. Service at this location has improved so much in my recent experience. I'm always treated with respect by buyers and they explain graciously that garment condition is the reason they pass on some of my items. left my phone in the pants pocket of jeans I was trying on because I didn't have a purse on me to carry my phone. Hispanic girl working the dressing room was rude and tried to steal my phone. I was in there literally 5 min, the only one that came out of the dressing room and I asked her to check the pants I tried on and she said no phone was in the pockets.. Last Friday I went shopping with a friend in DT Fullerton to check out some of the vintage shops down there and I could not be more disappointed with buffalo. When I first walked into the store I had high hopes but as my journey continued I was sadly disappointed. The whole store was completely cluttered and messy which I'm not a fan of. I noticed that a lot of the clothes they had were really tacky and not something I would ever really wear. Also their dress selection was too great, most of the stuff they had was again really tacky. After searching for quite some time though I did end up find a few shirts I liked, but I did find their prices were a little high but it wasn't that bad. With this experience I've come to the conclusion that I would go to Buffalo Exchange again, but I wouldn't make a special trip just to go here, it's just not worth it. read more

I really want to rate this, like, 2.5 stars. Sometimes they have really crappy stuff and sometimes they have some of the cutest stuff ever. The cutest stuff, of course, is usually either on the mannequins or the people that work there already bought them. A lot of it is luck, really. And sometimes their prices are kind of ridiculous. It depends sometimes on which Buffalo Exchange you go to and what people are offering to sell to them lately. I recently bought a really cute red and white striped shirt with 3/4 sleeves and three tiny red buttons on one shoulder for $7. I found an ADORABLE pair of 80's shoes for $7 at the location in Costa Mesa. Usually, though, I consider this extremely lucky here. My least favorite thing about it is that the people who work here are usually really snobbish. Some are extremely nice, don't get me wrong, but some of them are just awful. The other major downside is that they are EXTREMELY picky about what they buy and they don't give you what it's worth at all. I have MUCH better luck with Dee Lux in Costa Mesa, where they bought a few of my dresses for $45 store credit and the people there are usually much nicer. I have to give them a HUGE thumbs up, though, for their participation in the Artwalk on the first Friday of every month. A lot of places in Downtown Fullerton take part, but Buffalo Exchange is one of the few places that offers great live bands and free food from local places like Les Amis. It can get pretty crowded on Artwalk nights, but I highly suggest you check it out. You're bound to meet some really cool people while you're there, too. read more

Every time I come to this location, I don't really find that great of stuff...I tried selling here the other day and I brought four bags' worth of what I thought was great stuff...only to have it all rejected. I was told that it was "too worn," yet saw many items there that were very faded, stained, or even had holes in them...so whatever I went to the location at The Lab, and had a far different experience. The staff was much more friendly and down to earth, and they bought $67 worth of my clothes. I also found a bunch of really cool stuff to use my money on, so it was a win-win for everyone involved and also very fun! Definitely just gonna go to Costa Mesa from now on. read more

I checked out the reviews for some of the different locations because I was trying to pick a place to try and sell some of my clothes. I read alot of bad stuff about selling at the costa mesa store, some bad stuff for the fullerton one. Thought I would just give fullerton a try since it was closer to me. In terms of the selling experience, fullerton was polite. I was afraid my rejected clothes would be made fun of, as I have read on other reviews, but on the contrary I was treated well. No snotty attitude, no snickering at my clothes. The guy just went through my stuff piece by piece and only took 3 items from my big bag, however I expected that I wouldnt sell everything. Overall, selling here was an OK experience. Afterward, I looked around and found an abundance of very cute things, some a bit overpriced, but still very cute stuff. However, the only thing is that there seems to be a lack of clothes in larger sizes. But then again I suppose that is not really the store's fault, as the stocked items depend on what people bring in. So if there are bigger girls out there with cute designer clothes, try to bring em in, and then the rest of us out there with curves can also benefit at Buffalo Exchange! So, to sum up, selling was not a traumatic experience, and for buying, it takes some digging and you will have better luck finding stuff if you are sized medium and under... oh well :( read more

If you can avoid this place do so. I went to sell clothes, I thought five bags full of clothes, some purchased in the past few months could find a great new home. I dropped them off with the girl at the counter who was nice. I didn't want to stand around for the bags to be looked through so my boyfriend and I walked around the store. I left four tied bags on the ground and one on the counter and let her know I had five bags. She let me know ten minutes later she would go on break or lunch and that the next girl would continue my bags. I looked over to see her going through someone else's bags while mine were scooted over near the window still tied up. I went over to see if maybe she didn't know, she said she looked through all five and nothing was to be purchased. Either she's the fastest person in town or she lied. My bets on the second one. Their store is full of junk that my clothes were much better than and they made some excuse like all they want are fanny packs and high wasted jeans. Honestly, I'll never shop there again. I usually love Buffalo Exchange, and haven't had a bad experience until last Saturday. I went in to sell some adidas and other clothes that I thought would be in season. They were asking to buy my $90.00 brand new adidas for $15.00 and two other articles of clothing for a total of $28.50 store credit. When I was about to check out I bought some chucks for like $16.50 thinking that I could use the store credit but I had another Buffalo Exchange card with $16.50 on it so the lady across the counter used that card for my shoes instead. She asked if I wanted to use my store credit from that day to pay for taxes on the chucks and I said yes that'd be fine, but she didn't tell me that if I did that... that the $28.50 store credit would go down to $17.00. I wish she had explained that my store credit would go down by $10-12.00. I asked if they could try to redo the process, but they said it'd be complicated and didn't seem to want to help me. How hard would it be to just add $10.00 on my Buffalo Exchange card. This place is lame. read more

came here today to sell my brand new dr martens. I admit I am a compulsive shopper and buy a lot without thinking things through but really did not have more room in my closet. I have around 100 pairs or toms, tuks, and dr martens. I brought 10 pairs of shoes that I never wore and 8 of them were still in the box and were just there on the bottom of my closet. The lady said she wanted them all and was exited she wanted them all because I really didn't know what I was going to do with them ( she even said she wanted a couple of them)but when I heard how much she was offering me I practically died and went to heaven. She only offered me 65 dollars. I literally stood there for 5 mins in shock ( not exaggerating). I said no and started putting my stuff back in my bags and she then turned to a women and came over and offered me 80 but said no thank you and left. Really disappointed but didn't have high expectations either. Maybe I'll wear them after today but never coming back. read more

I come here about once a year to sell old clothes when I need to clean out the closet and make a quick buck. I used to go to the Buffalo Exchange in Costa Mesa but the workers there were always snobby and rude. My friend told me that there was a location in Fullerton so I decided to check it out one day after getting rejected at the Costa Mesa location. This location ended up taking a lot of my items and I made about $40! Also, the wait here is much shorter than at Costa Mesa. I usually only wait about 5 minutes here as compared to 1.5 hours. The staff here is nice and socialize with you while they check out your clothes. I have never shopped at any of the Buffalo Exchange locations but they seem to have long check out lines and my friends were able to find some nice clothes for decent prices. I suppose the only downside to this place is the location; I have to drive about 25 minutes (in good traffic) to get here, but I usually turn it into a day trip and hang out in Downtown Fullerton so it all works out. read more

If you're shopping for cool, unique pieces, this buffalo is a hit or miss... like every thrift/consignment store, you gotta take your time and browse through every rack to score something. Sometimes, I find nothing and other times, I find aloooooooooot of cool shit. The other day, I found this gorgeous red velvet 90's strap maxi dress with a slit on the left side. Prices range from affordable to pricey! It really depends on what brand it is or the style. I usually come here to sell my clothes/shoes if I'm DESPERATE for money. You get back either 30% in cash or 50% store credit. 30% isn't alot, but hey better than nothing right!! However, DO NOT sell your doc martens, jeffrey campbell, high-end stuff etc. here... If they decide to buy a pair of docs for like idk 50 bucks, you'll only get like 15-17 bucks back in cash which is SO NOT WORTH IT. You'll be better off selling high-end products on poshmark, ebay, etc. The line to sell can be sometimes long, especially on the weekends (it's honestly really random). When you sell, they won't buy everything, obviously. It either has to be trendy and according to the current season. Also depends on which buyer buys your stuff (some are picky af and some are more open-minded). But the ones who bought my stuff are super friendly and definitely conversation-starters. I'm probably gonna be back to sell more stuff, hahhaha read more

If you don't live in the area & you're looking to sell clothes, I wouldn't make a trip. I drove there from Ontario, 40 mins & back, it was a time consuming trip, & I had a large bag of very nice clothes to sell. I had cute stuff, only worn a couple times, trendy dresses and beach tops, that they thought apparently werent stylish enough to sell, & did not buy. They chose only 2 random pieces, a DKNY cotton dress and an out of style forever 21 t-shirt that still had the tag on it. Basically, whoever is helping you picks pieces that they judge to be stylish, so you never know what they will and will not buy. They gave me 7 bucks. That basically paid the gas. So if you live close by & you want some extra pocket change, you should go. But if you don't live close, don't waste a trip. A pro is that that was a good deal for only 2 pieces. 7 bucks was alot in my opinion, for 2 pieces of clothing that I didnt want. read more

i live right by the Fullerton Buffalo and usually swing by after school. ive sold a couple of times and have a gotten a decent amount of store credit (you can take a smaller percentage as cash too). i have always gotten excellent service from all of the employees, they are all very helpful and sweet. i love this place because they always have something new in, and i usually walk away with a couple of inexpensive name bran items! ive been to the LA, Long beach, and Costa Mesa locations, but the always return to Fullerton one because of the great selection and service. read more
