After calling around to a couple of places and being told a number of times I could only get the work done at a dealer, Continental Transmission was able to quote me with a slightly lower rate for my car. Having been recommended to this shop by some friends I decided to go with them! To replace it they needed to tow my car to the dealer only to reprogram it, but overall they were able to get the job done at a lower rate than it would have been had I tried to take my car anywhere else. To that I am very grateful! It took about a week or so for them to get all of the work done. They called me when the work was finished and now my car is running the way it should be! The staff here was very friendly, they were straightforward with informing me of all of the things they had done to my car. No gender bias at all! Quoted me a price and he said he'll need 3 days. Had one of his guys drive me home (30min away) and to my surprise, it was done the next day. When Pat called, - this I couldn't believe, he said we'll pick ya up, these guys go above and beyond what they should be doing. My strategy for finding any new third party is to read the reviews and try and synthesize the truth, speak to a decision maker and assess and finally ask for some quotes for the parts and labor. I spoke to four shops and of course everyone needs to see the job before finally committing and that scope can obviously change. Sam freely and patiently gave me some quotes for both (others couldn't get past - we need to see it), the quotes and the final pricing were both very fair and competitive. Mo communicated freely during the fix and heres the kicker and why we'll trust these guys moving forward. They easily could have turned the minor job into a relatively major fix and they didn't, the problem and solution was less in every sense than what I assumed it would be including their cost - great job the both of you!

Don't ever take your car here. I brought my car in on February 3rd, 2025 and they took my…read moretransmission apart telling me that a chain and pulley system needed to be fixed and they had to replace it. They originally gave me a quote for 5700 and I said that's a lot. They ended up settling for a price of $4000. They started on my car February 5th and fixed it and had me drive it away February 7th. I live 5 miles from away and the car was not right. I took it back and still do not have my car to this day. They have replaced transfer casings, valve cases, a tire rod and continue to say more things are wrong with the vehicle. It's been over a month and my car still Isn't done. They keep saying it will be done and delivered to me and it hasn't been. They have had to bring in outside programmers who do not show up and as every day passes keep making excuses saying the type of transmission is tricky. They are a transmission place so no transmission should be tricky. I'm in tears at this point still don't have a car and no answers when I will get it back.
