This was the strangest hostel. Perhaps it was just coincidence, but when we arrived (Saturday afternoon) we were literally the ONLY people staying at the hostel (this being in January, which should be high season). Imagine having a huge hostel all to yourselves. Eerie and a bit depressing. The facilities were spacious and nice but nothing was really kept that clean. Our 6 bed dorm room was large, bright, had a balcony and good air conditioning. Beds were comfortable. There was no breakfast or coffee and the kitchen was very untidy, rotten food in the refrigerator, all sorts of dirty dishes in the sink. I can´t say much about the staff because they were rarely there. Someone would let us into the hostel whenever we rang the bell, but otherwise there was no one at the reception desk and it was impossible to get help-advice regarding the city. read more
