We rented this whole house for nine days. The house itself is pretty nice, an older spanish villa with beautiful tile work and a cool layout. We had some issues with how the property is managed-not enough towels, very old barely working kitchen appliances. But, the real problem came after we left!!! The owner, Luca filed a claim about a week after. Stating that we had broken the plate that was in the microwave (this plate was severely damaged when we arrived-had glass missing and a huge burn hole which caused it to break) and that we had damaged several towels. We told him there was one towel that was damaged due to our son cutting his finger and not rinsing the towel and that we would absolutely pay him back for the one towel. That was not good enough for him-he continued to say there were multiple towels damaged and tried to get us to replace the plate that was already damaged when we arrived. I pointed out to him that there were many other negative reviews about his property and him making false claims against people. He said that those reviews were for the previous owner. I told him that his name was mentioned in the reviews and of course he had no response for that. We fought the claim and TripAdvisor ended up siding with us. This Owner is a crook and has no integrity or respect for his guests. He doesnt understand that his petty claims ruin people's vacation memories and he obviously doesnt care about the impact that this will have on the reviews of his house.
