Van Buren House offers the best of both worlds; apartment living with assistance. Plus they offer…read moredifferent service levels so you pay for what you need. Making the move to an assisted living environment is usually a traumatic transition for everyone involved but trust me, it doesn't get any better than here. Things my family most appreciate: - The kindness of the Van Buren House staff. - Their medical professionals actually pay attention and seem to care. - The welcoming dining room treats everyone like a guest. Everyone gets to order from a menu so it's restaurant dining with choices. If not feeling social, meals can be delivered. - They have good cooks in their kitchen! The food is tasty and they offer variety, so people eat well. (They also cater to special diets.) - Cozy 1 or 2-bedroom efficiency apartments that include a microwave and small refrigerator, a walk-in closet, and ample storage. - Grassy courtyards that are perfect for sitting outside. - Weekly housekeeping and laundry services. - On-site beauty/barber shop for hair and nails. - Pets are allowed, which for many means a happier life. - Scheduled local transportation, which is great for getting to Doctor's appointments. - Concierge service which is great for just about everything else! It took us a while to find the Van Buren House but maybe that's why we are so appreciative of who they are and what they offer.
