Although this shop is small, it's easy to get lost in time as you browse through the small bits and pieces. The shop assistant was nice and didn't come across as in your face, and she didn't watch you as you walked around, she remained busy whilst still making an effort with customers. This shop is ideal for design lovers, and anyone who loves quirky new things. Also if you are looking for a small gift for someone, this is the place to come. Little Bird will definitely not disappoint; I love it already!

But seriously, if you DO own a house, and it isn't already polluted with furniture, come buy ALL your stuff here. That way your house will all be matching. And it'll fit a kind of beachy theme. If you live by the beach (I officially hate you, you greedy, house-owning bastard), it's all the more perfect. But to be fair, you can't furnish your entire house with Little Bird's stock. It's more of an... accessory store. So you don't need to throw out all your furniture. Keep it. Just accessorise. I don't like cluttering up my room, which is already cluttered with piles of books and scrunched up bits of notepaper, so I'd never get anything from a store like this in my current condition of living. But as soon as I'm able to leave the nest, I'll be paying this store a visit.

As I was driving along Brighton road towards Glenelg, my eyes were diverted for a moment and I had to veer left all around the block to get back to it. There it was Honeycombe Gifts and Decor in all its glory, displaying promising home decor items right up my alley. And discovered they've been here for two years, without me knowing about them, huh! It's an eclectic mix of home decor, soft furnishings, furniture, lighting, handbags, jewellery (I don't think any self respecting shop is without this filler), prints, clocks, etc with vintage glam thrown in for good measure. Quite a mix alright and it works to a T. Love the front window display with the Audrey Hepburn print and chandelier prints on wood panelling, something different. Candles and birdcages add to the shabby chic impression with the everything old is new again adage. Well done honey and I'll be back with some cash!

I love poking around this store to see what's new, and to laugh at my old favourites. There are a few china models of cows dresses up as ladies that always make me laugh, and a set of three bunnies doing the "See No Evil" routine. Bunnies? Genius! They also sell very detailed printed paper, which could be expensive wrapping paper or used to line books or boxes, or as card decorations. This store makes me happy, because it's every changing, ever interesting.

When I walked in here there was music playing in a different language, I still don't know what language but it made me feel as if I was somewhere else. The bits and pieces inside this store include journals, greeting cards, cushions, candles, home-wares and kids toys. They are sourced from Australia and around the world, so you will find things here that you probably won't be able to find in any other Adelaide shop. Perfect for gifts or finding something unique for your home. I've only been here once, but plan to go back soon :)
