So when they suggested Rum Bucket, I thought 'eh' --- but instead I said, 'great!' I'm good that way. Look at that: five stars! T talked about eating the most delicious haddock on a military trip. He was excited with Rum Bucket's version and said, "I like this just as much!" After questioning our server Janna -- who by the way is delightful -- I ordered a burger. It was great. I went with the "cowboy burger' which had bacon, cheddar cheese, a couple of onion rings with lettuce and tomato on the side. I think what makes it 'cowboy' is the drizzle of bbq sauce, which I asked Janna to leave off. The beef is seasoned (an important feature!), cooked on the grill (equally important) and prepared almost rare (close to what I requested.) We sat at a comfortable high top on the patio, but there are indoor tables as well. Rum Bucket has a stage -- here comes Jimmy Buffet! -- but mid-day it was quiet and unhurried, without us having to yell over music. He found out that there were two other waitresses on the other side of the establishment that should have been working. But they weren't. They weren't helping us like they should have been. The food portions were very small and without seasoning. No one ever came to check on us during our dining experience until we had finished our meal. Our table never got cleared off until the end, because I am assuming that this waitress that did finally wait on us, who was also the bartender, was just too busy working at the bar to come back. Someone did try to help us at the end but it was too little, too late. We still left a tip though. The macaroni and cheese had very little flavor and my husband's was cold.
