I hired Brytor for my move from Redmond, Washington to Toronto, and the process was frustrating from start to finish. The delivery took almost three months longer than expected, and one of my most valuable items, a PlayStation 5, went missing during transit. When the shipment finally arrived, the box that had contained the PS5 was already open. Brytor's own claims department confirmed this in writing, but they denied responsibility and refused to reimburse me. Before the move, I had multiple conversations with Brytor staff about purchasing the All Risk protection plan and completed the valued inventory list they requested. Despite that, they later claimed that my insurance was not activated because a separate form had not been submitted. At no point was I told that the coverage would not be valid or that additional steps were required. Communication throughout the move was inconsistent and often confusing. I was given conflicting updates about where my belongings were and had to follow up repeatedly to get even basic information. When the items finally arrived, some boxes looked mishandled, and the missing PS5 issue was never properly addressed. The entire experience was stressful and disappointing. Brytor also directed me to a subcontractor instead of taking accountability for the missing item, which made resolving the issue even more difficult. If you are planning an international move, I strongly recommend choosing another company. Make sure you get every insurance and coverage detail confirmed in writing before your belongings are shipped. The relocation from this company in Canada Brytor, and in Spain AGS ( giving 2 emails with the people I worked with chandra@ims.brytor.ca and sebastian.alvarado@ags-globalsolutions.com) was the worst experience of my life. I am not sure and still thinking that this is was a SCAM. I was misguided on many occasions and documents, so I was told, to customs in Spain were submitted by Chandra without my consent. She even estimated the value of my shipment and submitted it on my behave without my consent. The last document being Dirigido al actuario de la Aduanav (Addressed to the Customs Actuary) was delayed by a month due to me receiving the wrong information from Sebastian Alvarado and him being on holiday. There was no one to assist me, finally a family friend a layer formatted the document and it was accepted. I asked on many occasions if I should involve a lawyer in. the process, but was not never given a definite answer. There are many other details about my move such as in case of delay, the storage would be only 100 Euro a month (and I have emails from Chandra on this) at the end, I ended up spending 7500 Euro just to have my personal belongings and my car released. Since my items were already in storage for 2+ months, I had to pay import taxes in Spain on my car which could have been avoided if everything had been done on time. I have many other issues with both people I worked with on my relocation, if you have any questions, you can contact me directly via DM. I would suggest avoiding both companies and both of these individuals, (Chandra and Sebastian Alvarado) if you are thinking of relocating to Europe. I should have taken the reviews of both companies seriously but I was driven by the relocation price. Their rating is very low and please take them seriously, because they are real. I won't say anymore as I will be taking these companies and individuals to court as soon as I am back in Canada. Do your research and IGNORE AGS and ims.brytor.ca in your relocation selection. Awful company and terrible service. Unprofessional, unethical, and incompetent. I cannot recommend their services. Avoid!

I hired Brytor for three international moves: Ottawa to Hong Kong (2014), Hong Kong to Brussels, Belgium (2019), and Brussels to Stratford, Ontario (2022). Over those moves, the company's service went from exceptional to pretty good to very poor. I am only writing this review now, 15 months after my move, because my insurance claim is still outstanding and Brytor is showing no sign of resolving it. I feel obliged to warn others about using this company. We had insurance claims in our first two moves with Brytor, which were handled very well. Good appraisers were sent right away to inspect the damages, skilled craftspeople were sent to make repairs, and settlements were prompt and professionally handled. Regrettably, our third move was a completely different experience. As our goods were brought into our home, our hearts sank as item after item was damaged. Many of the boxes were broken, crushed or had holes literally punched through the wrapping. The "insurers" have been appalling. We submitted our claim within the required 30-day period; while the company says it will reply within 20 days, it took them four months to provide an error-riddled, shockingly unrealistic offer. We worked hard to find alternative solutions/appraisers - while Brytor did absolutely nothing - and submitted a revised claim. Again, we waited months only to receive yet another incomplete response that disregarded the extent of the damages caused by their movers and failed to answer our questions. At no time has Brytor sent an appraiser to inspect the damages, nor have they provided any other repair or replacement options. Brytor has offered compensation for some of the items, but we still have two items to resolve and Brytor is failing to respond. Requests for a copy of the insurance certificate have not been answered. I cannot recommend Brytor. There are other options for movers. Do not use this company. read more

They take no responsibility for the sales team's negligence and lies - I was given poor information what looks to be so they can just keep my deposit. STAY AWAY FROM THE SHIPPING COMPANY! We should have read more reviews before we agreed to contract with Brytor, we would have avoided all the misery and extra 'costs' that followed for our trans Atlantic move. Initial experiences through the planning and packing activities were good. However, the moment they had all of our possessions and we flew out of Canada, the problems started.  We were told the volume of our possessions was 35% higher than estimated driving our costs up in proportion.   We challenged the number, and they could not and would not justify it, they even offered a detailed breakdown of a 10% increase but insisted we pay 35% more.  They refused to discuss and frequently stopped communicating.  1 month after we left, we 'settled' by paying an additional 20% to release our possessions.   We felt like we had paid a ransom demand.  We chose to buy transit insurance but struggled to get any details of what it covered or even confirmation that we were insured, 8 weeks after packing, our container was shipped to the UK.   At this point, we were told that there would be additional costs to deliver our possessions, as the quote assumed a truck could deliver the 40ft container directly to our front door.  We had never been asked about this or had this explained. It was unreasonable to make this assumption, however true to form Brytor accepted no responsibility for the issue and made us pay a large sum of money before they would collect it from the port. It was made clear that if we didn't pay we would be charged storage at the port on a daily rate.  We paid, as we had no choice, and our items were delivered by an inadequate team who constantly complained (too cold, too wet, too much stuff, too heavy etc).  I ended up carrying a lot of the items myself. We got our stuff eventually, after a slow and painful process, with costs that grew significantly,  no meaningful customer service and very poor communication.   We made a formal complaint afterwards, but unsurprisingly, it was dismissed. We used Brytor to move to the UK. Their estimators and movers are very professional and courteous. That's where it ends. They misrepresented the actual space we were quoted and ended up with less. Then the delivery time went from 8 weeks to almost 4 months. After that, it was a bunch of fake extra charges that needed to be paid before we got our items. When we finally got our items, the one that was missing was to be shipped later. Then that never happened. Then we were offered less than a 1/3 of the replacement value for compensation. Now they ignore the emails and we are still out the item. If you need to escape Canada, stay away from these clowns. read more

Highly unreliable concerning insurance. Moved back from Canada to Germany and paid more than 5k CAD for insurance. Two items - ond an expensive treadmill - arrived broken and were clearly documented as such with the unloading packers. Pictures and claim send to Brytor. Claims department and all other organisations up to CEO fail to even respond, even after 5 months. Play "dead man". Unacceptable customer service attitude. read more

In the last 35 years have lived and move to France, the UK, NYC, San Francisco, Austin, TX, and now Quebec City. I have therefore a lot of experience with coordinating and working with moving companies with often complex variables, import export rules, etc. I have used small-time movers locally and big international movers all with varying happy outcomes. I have NEVER had a worse, more stressful, more badly executed moving experience than this one. DO NOT USE THEM (they'll sing you a wonderful song at the time of signing with them but almost none of it will be as promised). I won't go into the litany of mistakes, extra expenses, false or missing information, missed deadlines that came with this 'experience' but suffice it to say that I am completely enraged by it to the point of writing this review in the hopes that I can spare someone else from having to go through the hell I experienced with them. Is it possible to give zero stars, no company deserves a worse review than brytor. I would argue this company should be investigated criminally with their actions. When moving back from Australia we got a quote through an Australian company to ship Brisbane to Vancouver to Toronto. We did not contract brytor, the aussie company we hired did. We received a quote for the trip to toronto from our company which included the canada portion of the trip. Our shipment left Brisbane ok, then when it got on the train in Vancouver it traveled to Montreal completely bypassing toronto (wtf) Montreal was never apart of the quote and my shipment should never have gone there. They unloaded our stuff in Montreal thereby requiring it to clear customs in montreal. Did I mention I live in Toronto and not montreal! Brytor then told me I had to pay them 500 above what was quoted, to clear my stuff in Montreal by one of their employees and ship it to toronto. If it was unloaded in toronto I would not have had to pay as I could have cleared customs on my own. With my stuff held hostage I had no choice but to pay them. After getting my stuff I obviously tried to follow up on this bs move but they ignored my calls and would not see me when I went to their offices. I emailed the president and anyone I could speak to but they brushed it off. They should all be in jail (no joke) and if you could avoid this company do so at all costs ...corrupt!!! read more

One star because it's not possible to give zero. I cannot recommend this terrible and amateurish company. It has been only problems after they packed and left with my stuff. Their delivery estimation during the quote is just a random number and the delivery date is scheduled at their convenience. Besides that, a few items even got damaged during the transport. No respect with the client's time nor schedule, wrong estimations, no care with your stuff, and isn't worth the cost. Stay. The. Hell. Away. Background: Cost around $3200 for a move from Metro Vancouver to Toronto. During the quote Brytor gave me between 2 to 5 business days to deliver, I accepted and paid. Move date arrives, they pack my stuff and leave with the truck/trailer. No problem so far. Then, a few days later, their "import coordinator" in Toronto reaches out to me and tells me the estimate jumped to 10 business days to just arrive in their Toronto warehouse, no delivery. Finally, when my stuff arrived, they scheduled the delivery during the week while I'm working. All that after I planned ahead and waited for the delivery based on the original estimation (2 to 5 business days). read more

We have moved several times so expected a few extra costs.. so we paid the deposit and signed the SCAMMER online form it is very hard to read and you don't get to print this, and it has ALL the clauses basically saying that if you sign this- your stuff is ours - so PLEASE SAVE yourself the time and money and go with another company. Soon after we were demanded to pay the rest of the money- so we did. BUT then they told us AFTER they moved it into THEIR warehouse that the cost would be DOUBLE _ YES DOUBLE!! So demanded another $2500 from us - because we added one bag - which we would have happily removed if they were up front and honest- but I a sure you realize by now that these are not that type of people or business. So, we request to cancel our order - as these are not must have items but ones we wanted to keep and send if we could for an appropriate price. Not $5000 for a of couple chairs, a rug and a picture. They KEEP OUR MONEY; they give my parents (we are already abroad) the number for the storage guy - their own employees KNOW THEY ARE SCAMMERS!! He tells my dad, who cannot drive to Vancouver till later on in the month that it is fine with him to store (FREE OF COST), but they will force them to pay the $900 to give back MY STUFF!!!!! This company is the worst international movers out there!! We contacted them for a move to Australia. They came to the storage locker in Whiterock where our home was in storage. They quoted us 4600.00 for 8 cubic metres. To make a long story short we went ahead and booked the move online which apparently gave us a contract and terms and conditions. They immediately sent an email requesting 800.00 deposit, they hadn't even picked up the storage locker yet. When they did come to pick up the locker I added a queen size mattress and box spring and some outdoor furniture which consisted of 4 acapulco style chairs, small square table and small 2 seater. The lady that came out was named Tilly, she stated that storage was free until the container left for Australia. The next day we received a demand for 3650.00 and then the phone calls started to my daughter in Australia at 4am everyday for weeks. I paid the balance of the move even though I thought I shouldn't until the container left. We then received another email demanding 2600.00 for storage and 2400.00 for the bed and outdoor furniture. HAHA not funny, oh but they were so adamant!! We went to the company at their Richmond location and removed the extra furniture. We fought the charges for the storage which they erased but they are still adamant that I pay 800.00 because they had to move the bed and patio to Richmond on the same truck as everything else. Are they kidding!! Not paying them anything else especially 800.00 to move a bed and patio stuff that we went and pulled out of the shipment. Would never recommend these guys to anyone, they are shysters liars and don't know how to run a business in Canada or how to treat their customers.
