I recently got boudoir photos taken by Lori, and it was such an amazing experience! I started by booking a consultation call with her. She made me feel so comfortable and reassured me in my nerves. I had a boudoir photo shoot at Bryson Studios 34 years ago. That's right! I'm 74 now! I ordered a large, framed, beautiful portrait of me and a large boudoir album with art least a dozen gorgeous boudoir photos of me in a variety of themes They had racks of lingerie, various sexy shoes and boots, jewelery, props and hats. At the time, we did the entire photo shoot in the studio. I think her name was Lori, who styled my hair and makeup. The photo shoot was so fun in different outfits, themes, and settings. I remember being photographed on a Harley, in a free standing bathtub, on a bed, and more. They all came our gorgeous, tasteful and very sexy. Horribly awkward viewing experience. I purchased a boudoir session through Groupon which included one print. The photographer was great and made me feel comfortable. However, when it came time to review the images, I brought my husband thinking it would be fun to choose together. The front desk guy sat us in a dark room, left and had a slideshow of the images play. When he came back, he started clicking through frame by frame and asking us yes, no, maybe. My husband was incredibly uncomfortable with a man looking through every single one of these very personal and intimate photos. On top of that, having to say yes no maybe to each took away any kind of sexiness and I felt very awkward sitting there. I quickly picked a photo so we could get out of there immediately. They should definitely check with their clients about having a male reviewing sexy boudoir pics before they schedule the viewing. Just like at a massage parlor where you can request a male or female masseuse, it makes sense to double check that it's fine for a man to be deeply involved in looking at every single picture. It was pretty unprofessional and left me disappointed with the entire experience. To make matters worse, the final photo I picked was heavily airbrushed and my skin looks fake. I would've liked the unedited version that I saw in the viewing room better. As an FYI, each print is $150 extra...very steep! read more
