Instead of making it clear that medicare did NOT cover the full expense of treatment, they let me run up almost $300 bill. The bill was not presented to me until I had quit going for treatment. When Back and Body was not able to help, I went to another chiropractor. The 2nd chiropractor knew right up front there would be an additional cost of almost $20 per treatment. When I asked Back and Body why they didn't let me know sooner, I was told I signed a paper saying I would be responsible for anything that was not covered by insurance. I do want to say that Dr Dabbs HURTS.

The guy that manipulated me couldn't get the bed to stay straight and kept kicking it. It seemed like the equipment was faulty. I visited once, and they convinced me to sign up for the plan. I immediately regretted it. Forgot about it. Tried to cancel a few months later. They told me they couldn't cancel over the phone due to "HIPPA" (which I can tell you with absolute certainty is COMPLETELY FALSE). Then you try to call corporate to cancel and can't get through to anyone. When I called the store in Little Rock again, about six months later (after I was unfortunately, surprised that I had been charge for so many months without visiting) she told me I'd have to go in person to the nearest Joint to cancel in a different State. In the meantime, they were happy to continue charging my credit card $69 per month. I am posting this for this location because this is where I signed up. I'm sure the nice people working there (or at least some of them) don't realize who they are working for. All I can say is please for the love of God think twice about signing up for their damn membership. Would never recommend anyone ever go to the Joint. Especially my patients. These predatory business models need to stay away from healthcare. P.s. they are still charging my card despite me telling them they are not authorized to do so. They have charged me for over a year of services despite me being there once and calling at least three times requesting they stop charging my card.

The place stinks of air freshener…read more The chiropractor stinks of cologne. No one wears a mask. Things are not clean. A staff member, Sabrina, coughs constantly, without ever covering her mouth. The adjustments did not feel precise; and that was scary enough; and then nothing was explained (what might have caused the imbalance or sudden pain; how long I should continue to ice it for; why I couldn't use heat instead; how many visits could heal the problem; if it could be healed.) The X-ray irradiated an unnecessarily large area of the body; Ashley seemed inexperienced putting on the lead apron, which ended up hanging awkwardly and may have caused or contributed to a left-right imbalance on the image, meaning I don't know if that X-ray even reflects the true state of my spine. He did high velocity adjustments on my neck after I asked him not to. I was charged even though I explained my insurance would cover everything. Finally, they weren't friendly when I came back to pick up my X-ray: barely made eye contact, didn't tell me what was taking so long; didn't ask how my neck was; and the chiropractor himself didn't bother coming out, though he was just sitting in his office.
