If not for Groupon, I might never have ventured to Bruz Beers. I love Belgian beers, so this sounded just my speed. It's in the Midtown development, which is far from home, so we drove. That meant that I only took a sip from each taster in our two flights. We tried a lot of beer (10 in all). The ones we chose ended up being pretty high ABV--at least too high for me to enjoy any more than a sip if I was going to drive. We got some food from the truck outside (Falafil King was really good). There are dog treats--there were a few well-behaved pups in attendance--made from spent grain and even "entrees" for dogs offered by the brewery. The bistro next store is also a good option for human food to help you absorb those big beers you're drinking. The space is big, and there is a parking lot behind them. That makes it an attractive option for a gathering. I've suggested it as a good place for a happy hour event, since my employer invites people who drive large trucks to our events. read more

I signed up for a brewery bus tour without knowing where we would be stopping. I can't believe how lucky I was when we stopped at Bruz. I am a fan of Belgian beers and after one look at the menu I knew i just hit the jackpot. I ended up trying half the menu and everything was great; the blonde, amber ale, ipa and double were my favorites. If you are Belgian fan this is a must stop. In addition Charlie, owner/brew master of Bruz, came to our table and overviewed each beer we sampled and answered questions. this is probably the cleanest brewery I have ever been in. Not that other breweries are dirty- they are just more rustic, or a lot of wood-- this brewery had subway tiles and sleek designs. It was a great change of scenery. My friend got the Brut La Grande that is like a champagne beer served with a chocolate truffle- she got 3 of them-- I tried it and it was delicious. I'm glad they opened up in my neighborhood. The staff is always friendly, attentive and informative. They take the time to answer any questions you have. They don't serve food here, but allow you to bring your own food or have food ordered there. There are food trucks that come there daily, so There's a new menu every day. The beer is solid and they have a long list of beer, so you'll be sure to find something that suits your taste. Dog friendly, they have a few pin ball machines and several TVs for games. Rather disappointed in this brewery. I moved here a couple years ago and live super close so I used to come in often. The beer and service was good! Last I went in, the beer wasn't the best..it was gross. Other ppl in the restaurant left full and half full beers on the table...not good considering there are a lot of breweries to choose from in this area. I haven't been back in a while and it sucks having to drive to other breweries bc you guys are so close. Maybe I'll come in again...but idk if I want to risk it.. Having just moved from the Highlands to the Perl Mack neighborhood, my wife and I anxiously awaiting the opening of Bruz, the only brewery in this part of Denver (hard to believe, right?). It was great! It's a Belgian style brewery, and they seem to stay pretty close to the traditional recipes. I wouldn't mind it if they got a bit more adventurous in the future, but I sampled six of the eight beers on tap and they were all excellent. Highly recommended! read more

What a cool spot inside this new housing development. I'm pretty jealous of everyone who lives here because the homes are stellar and also because they can enjoy brews and just walk right back home! I really like this place and wish it were closer to where we live: my biggest complaint is how far north they are. There's plenty of good beer in Denver, but not many places consistently do such good Belgian-style beers. Their tripels and quads are amazing, and they've always got a lighter Belgian style or two on tap, plus an IPA, hef, etc. for the non-Belgian drinker in the group. The people are nice, the location is beautiful, and the service is always quick. Oh, and there's always a good food truck in the parking lot ... at least when I visit, anyway. We had no idea Pecos had been built up. In a round about way a college friend referred me here. We normally peruse around the Broomfield/Westminster microbrews because they are close to our home. Coming down to this place is like hitting the jackpot. Their Belgian style beers are TOP notch (and I'm a beer snob). So far I've had the Quad, the Triple and the Double (sensing a theme here?) and every one of them is just a stellar brew. The indoor area is spacious and even with a large crowd in there, is totally acceptable for having a vivacious conversation. The outdoor seating area, while smaller than I would like, is cozy and recently lit with some great string lights. So your pick, in or out is going to be a great space to go to. First time to this microbrewery! Festive occasion with all the ugly sweaters thought it was a christmas office party! Walked in it was a celebration event not only a Holiday Ugly Sweater competition but also the owners birthday! Happy Birthday! Now down to the beer this microbrew specializes in Bavarian style microbrews! I tried what I believe is one of their holiday beers the Gingerbread Dubble to my delight quite refreshing and tasty hopefully they add this to their beer menu! I also enjoyed the Dubble Trubble and a recommended combination of the pumpkin and stout all I highly recommend! The service was outstanding everyone was very friendly! With many more customers they even went to the trouble of washing chairs and providing to us when we were standing big gold star to this crew! I must say people love dogs as I do great to see the mingling of man's best friend and the interaction very warm and friendly! The crowd was also a great mix having a fun time felt very inviting just hanging out sipping a cold crisp pour of this fine microbrew! I was a beer geek. Literally. Charlie Gottenkieny made me and a bunch of other people paid (in beer of course) beer geeks. You see, Charlie (the co-owner/head Brewer of BRUZ) was the instructor for all the beer geeks for the GABF (for the last two years I was one of his pupils) and has been teaching about beer for a long time. It goes without saying that you don't have to travel far in Denver for a good beer. With breweries as common and available as Starbucks, we typically don't venture outside the city. However, on this particular Saturday afternoon we were in the mood to booze on the cheap and found a Groupon to Bruz. It was a deal for 2 flights which meant we got to try a large number of their beers. After said beers it's difficult to recall which we enjoyed most, but I believe it was a strong majority. They have a really large selection of beers, a great open space, and there was a delicious food truck posted up outside for when you need a break from drinking.
