I really dislike bashing people or Businesses, HOWEVER when a business treats their customers SO poorly it should be known to others.
We dropped off a horse trailer at Bruton Trailers with minor damage to be fixed on August 5th. I spoke with Ernie and was told the trailer would be repaired by Friday August 14th and then it would take a little longer to paint it and payment was due before the trailer could be picked up. Between August 5th and September 11th my call log shows I have a total of 16 calls to and from Bruton for updates. Every single time I spoke with Ernie, the shop manager, I was told he would need to write up an estimate for the cost to repair the trailer because now payment needs to be made before they start on the repairs. I spoke with Ernie Thursday September 10th, afternoon and he stated he would get an estimate written up and give me a call back, I never got a call back. As of Friday, September 11th Ernie STILL did not have an estimate written up for the repairs and when I told him I felt like we were getting the run around and we have waited long enough that triggered him into telling me he is "tired of dealing with us" and we needed to go pick up our trailer. I tried again to tell him I just wanted the estimate so we could get the payment made and the repairs could be done, Ernie hung up on me. I called Bruton "Easy Pull" Trailers back and asked to speak with someone that was "above" Ernie. I was told a man named Carrie (not sure on spelling) Bruton was higher than him and he was the owner. He however was not in the office at the time and would have to call me back on Monday, September 14th. I waited for Carries call and it didn't come Monday morning so I called Bruton back and asked to speak with him, I was then informed carries was again out of the office and he would call me back that afternoon. I spoke with Carries sister, not sure of her name, and she said as of that moment Monday afternoon Ernie told her he still didn't have an estimate. Carrie called me back around 4:15 and when speaking to him he mentioned "we don't give estimates to people if we think they're going to waste our time" I had again told Mr. Bruton that the trailer had been there over a month and they were wasting our time we just needed it repaired. Carrie asked me why I was even calling him and wasting his time for this and said we just needed to pick up the trailer. Carrie mentioned they had on record that Ernie called for a payment 3 different times, when I asked why he couldn't give me the estimate then Carrie then started raising his voice at me telling me "Ms. Nealey we don't need to keep going around" and how I was wasting his time and he wasn't sure why he was even discussing this matter with me because he owns the company, he doesn't RUN the company. I asked if he felt that it was okay for customers to be treated this way and he informed me he doesn't believe half of the "story" I have told him and if Ernie thought we needed to be treated like this then "sure" he supports it. Me. Bruton also informed me that I am the ONLY unsatisfied customer out of millions of customers, he also informed me that ANY review or rating I write or give the company he will just "rebutt" it and have it removed. Carrie several times laughed about the situation.
I have never been so disrespected (especially by 2 older gentlemen) and I will NEVER recommend nor give Bruton Trailer Sales my business.
We have since dropped off the trailer at Century Trailer of San Angelo and Theresa has been amazing as far as keeping me updated!
