I think that is a contributing factor of misinformation on the internet. * The climate control got the room toasty warm during a cold snap. *. The water from the sink got very hot, but the faucet hot and cold were reversed. * The landscaping has suffered for an extended amount of time. I could envision a lot of ways the outdoor space could be used better with some clean-up and TLC. * They were very good about two little dogs staying with us. * It's not fancy or luxurious, but if you don't want to spend an exorbitant amount of cash for a night or two in Freer, Texas, the sheets and towels were clean and the TV was large with good selections available. * We didn't use the WiFi for our phones, but the TV didn't buffer once. * The location was quiet and we had zero disturbances all night long. * Some signage outside said "free breakfast", but that was not the case when we were there. There are a couple of cafe's very close by. * The room looked like it was recently painted, but there were a few more things that ought to be up graded. * I have seen worse and paid more for it.
