Our Shower tile was done by Brunswick floors in Nov of 2010, 7 years and 3 months later the 12x12 inch ceramic ceiling tiles are coming down. (Thank God no one was showering when the tiles shattered to the floor of the shower) I call Brunswick floors to see if they would stand by their work as no thinset/plaster was adhered to the tile which means the thinset was not mixed right, the conditions at the time of installation were too humid for it to adhere or they did not wait for the thinset to dry and adhere before they grouted. Brunswick floors sent a representative out to look at my shower and the representative was "baffled" and said he had no idea why the tiles would have come down because he saw no signs of moisture behind the tiles. In the mean time I consulted with 2 different tile experts who confirmed it was not a moisture problem, it was a problem with the way the tile was installed. In further speaking with the representative who came out, and the owner of Brunswick Floors I was told that they only guarantee their work for one year, which to me is suspect for an installation if done correctly should last until the owner decides to remove it to remodel or such. Tile should not just fall to the shower floor and shatter. Brunswick Floors agreed to do the work but it was going to cost me 5-6 hundred dollars to replace a 36sqft area. I did not expect Brunswick Floors to do the work for free, but I did expect to be treated with respect and to be quoted a fair and honest price with a discount for the inconvenience of having to redo a job they did wrong in the first place, however I was told, "M'am I owe nothing!" With that, and after being treated, I feel, very disrespectfully I found a contractor who actually does "owe me nothing" to do the work for less than half (at full price) of what Brunswick Floors wanted me to believe was a discount. In light of the dishonest, disrespectful and unfair way I was treated by a representative and the owner of Brunswick Floors, and because they do not stand by the work they do, I am giving them one star, but only because there is no option for zero stars. read more
