A disappointing experience due to a Staff members abrasive approach.
My daughters and I visited last Saturday for our very first wedding dress appointment. We arrived so excited, expecting the experience to be fun, enjoyable and memorable.
Initial impressions of the shop were positive and we were positioned in the centre of the floor, on a couch between two other groups. The were a number of other appointments taking place during time slot.
We were however, from the beginning encouraged to remain seated so that we would not disrupt the other Client appointments. This was from another Assistant on the Shop Floor and not the young girl who we were assigned to.
As the mother of the bride and chief bridesmaid, we were hopeful we could have chosen a dress or 2 ourselves from the rails to leave at the dressing room but this was not possible. I was informed to leave touching the stock to Staff only, the delivery of which was rude and patronizing.
Wedding dress shopping should be joyful, but this staff member made it feel restrictive, an almost school classroom experience.
I did get an opportunity today to speak to Ellen the Manager of Brommel & Co, who was very apologetic but unfortunately we cannot change our first bridal shopping experience and left quite deflated. read more
