I had reached out to a few artists to see if they would be able to fix the work someone else did and a lot of people said no. I gave up for a while till I found Hinemoa. Just with a change to the curl from a D to a c/cc. She did not take accountability for her mistake when I showed her the lash map to follow. IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS!!!!! I scheduled an appointment with Asia to do my lashes and showed her photos of the lash map and how I wanted my lashes (as done by my usual lash artist). I reiterated I don't like the caterpillar look on my volume lashes and I wanted them wispy/texturized with a max length of 12. I said we can change the curl from a D to a c/cc and she delivered novice work and opposite of what I showed her and explained that I wanted. She does NOT stand on honest business and wanted to charge me another 120 to redo my lashes when she was the one who did not deliver what was requested. She kept saying it was a misunderstanding but how do you misunderstand photos? We agreed to redoing my lashes the next day and then after going home, she told me that appointment would be $120. I would never go back to her or recommend her work. She kept trying to tell me it's my fault for telling her something different but I in fact did not. I've had lash extensions for many many many years and never once did I have this horrible of an experience with a lash artist. The screenshots may not be in order but you can see the difference between the less than subpar work she gave me and what I told her I wanted.

My appointment was for 6pm on a Saturday evening with Alana Upon arriving I thought the place was closed but I entered and I heard a voice come thru the waiting room door that she'd be right out. Alana came out and gave me the low down and the different extension options and what the upcharge would be. I think I decided on the 1.5 C curl. Going back to her chair though I saw the actual lashes and changed y mind on the curl type. I sat down in the chair and we chatted for nearly the whole two hours it took her to apply the lashes and she took pictures of my lashes for me. Alana was super nice and knowledgeable and it was a great experience. And most importantly my lashes look AMAZING!!! No more having to put on falsies everrrrry morning! Update 11/11: Wasn't even going to reply since my mom just died and I have way more important…read morethings to deal with but since the owner commented EIGHT separate times to this TODAY and I keep getting email after email about her commenting on this: I was going to send her the screenshot of me inquiring about the touch up in July but she blocked me. At this point it's a moot point anyway so drop it. 10/28: I booked with Chae Magnifique in September 2019- paid in full at the time of booking- and the owner cancelled my appointment hours before I was supposed to have it. She only offers appointments during the week but I had taken time off of work for the appointment. However, I understand that emergency situations happen, BUT if you look at some other reviews, I see that she didn't extend the same grace to people who had to reschedule last minute. If the tables were turned and I had cancelled on her just hours before the appointment, it wouldn't have been ok. If you're going to have expectations for your clients, it's important to have the same for yourself. I ended up rescheduling my appointment for December, then had to reschedule again for March (not last minute) because I realized I scheduled my December appointment before running a half marathon, which wouldn't have worked because you're not supposed to workout right after the procedure. When I went in in March, I could feel she wasn't happy to be there, I'm not sure if it's because I asked her to do a Saturday since I had already taken off of work for the appointment she cancelled on me last minute for or what, but she just wasn't very welcoming. I didn't get a hello or anything. Even so, she did a great job so I planned to return and refer her. After you have your appointment, you have 6 months to get a touch up for $50. Well after my appointment happened, everything shut down because of COVID. When things opened back up, I went online in July to schedule my touch up and she had no available touch up appointments until October, which would be 7 months. I wrote her about this and got no response. It's great that she's that busy, but her appointment times are veryyyyyy limited to begin with and during the middle of the week when most people have to work. And since no one could have gotten a touch up during the government-mandated shut down I would think there would be an extended grace period for touch ups. But from what I've seen from other reviews, even without the shut down, people have had similar experiences, so I don't think she's interested in doing the touch ups since they aren't as lucrative. Lastly, if you look at any of the bad reviews on here, the responses from the owner are less than kind. It's completely understandable to want to defend yourself, but as a business owner, you're going to have unhappy customers. There's no way to make EVERYONE happy. But it really doesn't look good to argue with someone who didn't have a good experience because you're kind of proving their point. I'm a business owner myself and if I have a bad review, I work with the customer to figure out what I can do to turn the experience around. The owner did a great job on my brows and they looked great at first, but unfortunately now that they're faded and couldn't get in for my touch up, and I wouldn't return.
