My own fault) JoAnne was pleasant and professional on the telephone and scheduled me for that Friday. Upon arrival I sat in my car a few minutes to prepare myself for the task at hand. After gathering my thoughts I entered through the doors to be greeted by JoAnne & Steve. The office was cozy with the walls adorned with all mater of Aviation related pictures and flyers. If your an Aviation geek like myself, you could literally spend hours looking. We got down to the business at hand ensuring all the documentation was accurate and completed all the while Steve is making you feel like you were in your favorite Uncles place, again the AviationGeek in my was absorbed in all the surroundings. Then after a short walk through the parking lot to the shop, Steve open the shop door only to be greeted by well organized immaculate shop workspace. The entire time, Steve is coaching and cheerleading you on to do your best and encourage you that you can do this (unlike the prior DME that I was assigned at a Tennessee School) we got right to the task that I replayed and retraced several times since my prior failure. Steve has a gift to bring everything into scope and I passed my prior point of failure. We continued with the other tasks required and the completion, Steve shook my hand firmly and said " Congratulations Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic. If you suffer from test or exam anxiety pleas do yourself a favor and talk to to Steve & JoAnne. This was the most positive experience I have ever had getting a certification.
