From the moment you walk into the school, it's not hard to notice how dedicated administration is to the success of their students. I would like to note as someone with limb loss how inclusive and friendly the staff is - I never once felt overlooked or unable to perform certain work duties. If you're someone with a love for aviation + a desire to help those around you succeed, this is an incredible place to work!

If I could give Kingsky zero stars I would. My daughter was in the Polk State professional pilot…read moreprogram. She started flight with Kingsky in her second semester of her freshman year. January 30th. When she started my husband made phone calls and sent emails to request a breakdown of what was included with the cost estimation they gave Polk State students for completing their private. After repeated attempts they never provided that information. She stayed with them because it was through the Polk State program. In her time flying with Kingsky they put her with 9 different instructors, not by her choice. She has 51 flight hours and did not solo. When the second semester came she had an incomplete on her "flight lab" class because you have to have your private pilot license to pass the class. Unknown to her at the time she was dropped from her bright futures scholarship and continued to fly through the summer. She signed up for fall classes and finished her first week of classes and was dropped from the program due to the loss of her bright futures scholarship. She has been paying out of pocket for flight lessons and Kingsky requires you to maintain a minimum balance of $1,500 in the flight account which she has always done. They will not refund her $1,500 due to their policy even though that was money she put in and can not use there. Also, during this time they have charged her 20 hours of ground instruction even though she has already completed her FAA written test and ground course. This place is a complete money grab. Please go to your local flight school or anywhere else!! If you are enrolling in Polk State do not enroll in the professional pilot program as you will be stuck with King Sky. Save yourself the time and money wasted and go to any other flight school!

This was possibly the best experience I have ever had with obtaining my A&P…read more I called the office on a Tuesday morning to schedule a retake of my Powerplant portion of my Practical (failed Compression check on a recip. My own fault) JoAnne was pleasant and professional on the telephone and scheduled me for that Friday. Upon arrival I sat in my car a few minutes to prepare myself for the task at hand. After gathering my thoughts I entered through the doors to be greeted by JoAnne & Steve. The office was cozy with the walls adorned with all mater of Aviation related pictures and flyers. If your an Aviation geek like myself, you could literally spend hours looking. We got down to the business at hand ensuring all the documentation was accurate and completed all the while Steve is making you feel like you were in your favorite Uncles place, again the AviationGeek in my was absorbed in all the surroundings. Then after a short walk through the parking lot to the shop, Steve open the shop door only to be greeted by well organized immaculate shop workspace. The entire time, Steve is coaching and cheerleading you on to do your best and encourage you that you can do this (unlike the prior DME that I was assigned at a Tennessee School) we got right to the task that I replayed and retraced several times since my prior failure. Steve has a gift to bring everything into scope and I passed my prior point of failure. We continued with the other tasks required and the completion, Steve shook my hand firmly and said " Congratulations Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic. If you suffer from test or exam anxiety pleas do yourself a favor and talk to to Steve & JoAnne. This was the most positive experience I have ever had getting a certification.

I started taking vocal lessons at Plant City Academy of the Arts a year ago, and to just tell you my vocal teacher is AMAZING, is an understatement. He is more like the "Voice Whisper". Not only did he help eliminate my fears of signing in front of people. He took me from not being able to find the correct note to singing a solo in front of a crowed.
