I read over several reviews for lawyers who were relatively close to my parents location and the only one that popped out was Anthony Nigro. With that said, I picked up the phone and called him. His receptionist was very friendly, and put my call right through to him. Anthony was very friendly and answered all of my questions concerning their Will. It was just before the Holidays and his schedule was full but after I told him my situation and that I was flying in from LA, he made time to fit us in right before Christmas. He answered all of my emails right away and confirmed our appointment the day before we met. I knew that I had made the right choice in working with him but my parents are tough, and I wasn't sure how they would feel. However, as soon as Anthony walked in the door and brought us into the conference room I could tell that they were impressed. He made the process very simple and explained the updates that would be made then asked both of my parents if it was what they wanted before he proceeded. When we left the meeting, he assured me that I could have the new documents signed and copied before I headed back to LA. Now let's not forget, this all took place just a few days before Christmas (Anthony has 2 young children)! He worked on them over the weekend and contacted me to see if we could do the signing on December 27. He also offered to come to my parents house to make it easier. Ari and I were in regular communication by phone, text, and email for the next few days. When he showed up in person at Housing Court on the day of the hearing, he immediately went to work, discussing with me the specific details of the case and how he planned to approach them at the hearing. The opposing counsel had arrived there a little early, so Ari then initiated a pre-hearing discussion with her to see if some kind of settlement could be worked out. I spoke to a young lady, Samantha, who I believe was the para, and told me that she would present my case to the attorney to see if he would take my case as the deadline was approaching. She called me back and told me he was aware of the deadline and asked scheduled me for an intake which took about an hour. She told me she would get back to me in 2 or 3 days so the attorney could review everything. Four days passed and I did not hear from her so I called the office and was told that she was not available and would call me back "soon". Never called. I waited THREE WEEKS and no callback. My calls were ignored and I was never given a status if we were moving forward or not knowing that I had a statue of limitation. I was desperate and I didn't know they were still moving forward or not, if I should find another attorney or not as my deadline was approaching. The had the audacity to sent me a LETTER telling me THEY CANNOT TAKE THE CASE AS I DID NOT FIND THEM SUFFICIENTLY RESPONSIVE! AND THEY SUGGEST I CONTACT ANOTHER ATTORNEY ASAP SINCE MY RIGHT TO SUE MIGHT BE LIMITED BY ONE OR MORE STATUES OF LIMITATION. How arrogant! Are you f#%* kidding me??!!!!
