First time visiting Brow Boutique. It took me a moment to locate it as it's on the second floor of a small shopping complex. The inside of the space is super cute. Due to Covid I had not had my brows waxed or threaded for over three months. Tasneem did an incredible job shaping them and keeping them full (not pencil thin). She also suggested that I tint them which took less than 15 minutes. It was my 1st time doing this and I am sold on the service. My brows look fuller and naturally darker. Wow! Tasneem's studio is very sanitary. She uses gloves, masks, and sprays everything down between appointments. I waited to be seen outside the building and she calls you in. This was the BEST experience I've ever had with threading! Sweet and friendly staff willing to answer any questions you might have! I absolutely loved how welcome I felt coming in to my appointment. I had always switched between waxing and threading. I had always preferred it but everytime I had gotten it done, it left me with red hives and it would be incredible painful. But NOT with this place! The woman that threads there, really has an amazing talent. Edited for Context and Changed Rating: This place is tucked away in downtown Lake Oswego and has a good amount of parking, was a little difficult to find at first but the signs are helpful! I usually get my eyebrows waxed but I recently started treatment where I would not be able to wax anymore--so I look for threading. I was able to walk in and get my eyebrows threaded without an appointment which I was very grateful for. The shape and size looked great, and the first visit discount was a surprise for me. I made another appointment (7/20) for another eyebrow touch up so I wouldn't inconvenience the staff by walking in. Despite making an appointment, I felt that the staff possibly had overbooked, as I was present with one person getting a service and another person waiting with me. My service felt a bit rushed, albeit the shape and such was decent. After examining my eyebrows again in the car as I left, I noticed that many eyebrow hairs were scattered all over my face and was not swept away. During this visit I had made another appointment (8/10) but was not able to make this appointment and attempted to cancel through StyleSeat email, not sure if it was processed as the email format was wonky on my phone. I decided that the location was not convenient for me and the price was a bit steep for my wallet (got those student loans to pay off still!). End result of brows are great if location and price works for you. read more

Threading: I am not going to say that this is painless procedure. Even though this is more gentle and natural than waxing, it still involves individual hairs to be taken out from your skin. Approach: Tasneem's touch is very gentle and relaxing. Even though some hair hurt more than others and occasional tear rolls down my cheek, this is the most relaxing eyebrow shaping I have had and I wish it lasted longer. Results: My skin is never red and irritated like it used to be with waxing. The perfect finishing touch is the makeup they use to make you look just great. Take a look in the mirror after the first eyebrow is done and you will see the difference. Relationship: I got my husband to start coming in with me as well. It takes us 45 minutes to drive here from our house so that shows you our dedication to come to this specific place. I moved to Portland a year ago and searched for a someone to tint and wax my brows. I decided to give threading a try and so glad I did, but especially glad that I found Tasneem and the Brow Boutique. I was (happily) surprised at the time and attention she spent with me on my first visit, definitely taking a holistic approach and caring to understand what I wanted and thoroughly explaining the process. She made great recommendations that have given me results I never even thought possible in all the years I've been getting my brows done. I also decided to get my lashes tinted as I was having problems with even waterproof mascara running. I can't believe my results after only 2 visits with Tasneem. I now have long dark lashes, thicker and better shaped brows and use no mascara! Since moving locations (which I must say the new location is so beautiful and inviting), Brow Boutique provides even more great services. I had a wonderful facial that was both relaxing and made a visible difference in my skin. They use only the best products which they test themselves before ever using them on their clients. As far as pre-paying for services (per another review listed here), I've had the exact opposite experience! I was the one who called several times to reschedule last minute and they were always accommodating and never charged me a "cancellation fee" like most places would. What the negative reviewer didn't realize is that at that time Tasneem was dealing with a serious medical condition. Thank god that is all in the past and Tasneem is back at doing what she not only loves but is truly gifted at. My daughter just got her brows done earlier this week before going back to college.
