The precision in eyebrow shaping here is delightful, but €30 is a bit too much to be honest. I used to go to the brow bar in San Francisco and $15 was affordable. It's spacious, location is in the Pijp and you can make reservations online. Walking in is pretty much guaranteed that you won't be able to get service. I will try more places until I will find the one that offers both affordable eyebrow shaping and quality service. Until then I will put a pin on this place. read more

After being burned by my last brow groomer when she waxed my brows, I knew that I wanted to only get tweezed from this point on. Especially since my skin doctor told me that it will probably take a year for my skin to heal. After emailing the shop in advance and asking for someone who would just tweeze me, Patricia wrote me back and said she could do it. So today I had my first appointment with her and I can confirm that Patricia is an adept brow guru! I'm so happy with her handiwork today on my brows and she agreed to only use tweezers per my request. Wonderful brow groomers are seriously hard to find. I feel lucky to have found mine! Mrs highbrow is specialised in brows. The shop is nicely set up with those old barbershop chairs. When i arrived a bit too early, i was offered a drink. Overall it had a nice friendly vibe Today was my first try of threading the upperlip. Most dutch women choose to go for waxing, but i have discovered threading in india which is less harsh on the skin and the pain is not too much. Overall, was very happy with the results and the overall process was nearly painless. So, booked my next appointment straight away. Tip: bool well in time. I tried to walk in a few times without appointments and found it was easier to just visit the website and book. read more

I purchased their online course and starter kit for brow lamination. Course was full of grammar mistakes, with little to no tips and tricks (pretty much everything you can find on youtube). When the package came I tried to do the treatment on 4 different clients-no results whatsoever. When I complained, they told me to keep the products on the brows longer ( they said 12-15mins-which is way too long and usually it takes about 4 mins. If the products were to actually work my brows would be burnt off after 5 mins. Still no results even after 15mins. ) I complained again-they told me it was a mistake on my behalf. Because "client's brows are too thin and too short for this treatment." ?! When I sent them pictures of my client's brows as a proof that they are perfect for lamination I didn't get a reply. Three e-mails later they agreed to refund 50% of the full price (which was 200 euros for the kit and course) if I send the products back. So I sent the products back (paid 10 euros for shipping) and e-mailed them my proof of shipment. Now 5 e-mails and almost a month later still no additional replies or refund. I would never recommend this course or kit to anyone and it was a total waste of money and time. read more

Walked in with high hopes and left thinking meh... I went for an eyebrow shaping. The customer service was great. The lady who did my eyebrows was also very sweet. She seemed to be focussing very hard on getting all the details of my eyebrows correct. When we got to the bar she explained that one was thinner than the other & I could pencil it in daily. What? In a city that is constantly raining you want me to pencil it in & have makeup running down my face. No thank you. When I got home I tweezed myself, evened them out a bit & found a few hairs that she did not catch. In retrospect I probably could have had her fix it in the salon but was running to the airport & didnt have the time to complain in person. The results were no different then when I get it done at Delete Waxing across the street. I see no reason why I would make a special trip here when it is the same price (slightest bit more expensive) and same result.
