Fr Pat is an old time Irish priest who offers a strong, no nonsense interpretation of the gospel message. As you can see from the pictures, this is a Cathedral size church that is as large as any I've been in within the US, with the exception of the National Cathedral in Washington DC, or St John the Divine in NY. They have several services during the week, including a Chapel Mass at 8:30 each day and one at Noon Tuesday through Friday. Confessions are heard on Saturday @ 2:00 to 3:30 PM Sunday Mass is at 7:30, 9:30, and 11:30 AM and one on Saturday at 4 pm.

It was my first time and I love the overall atmosphere here. It's located on a big lot shared with the Catholic school. A big lot meant big private lot parking. There's also a lot of street parking if you just want to park and zoom your way out after the services. I learned that the church was built in the 18th century and became official parish in 1922. It has the main church where regular masses are held. There's also an adjoining chapel where private masses are held. This was actually where we had the memorial mass. It's feels comfy and intimate. Perfect for such services. The parish priest is very friendly. We were amused when we found out he can speak our native language. We learned that he went to school in the Philippines. It's really amusing to hear a foreigner speak your own language so that's a complete icebreaker. There's also a small social hall where a reception was held after the memorial mass. The parishioners were all hands on in the setup, preparation of foods, entertaining guests, and cleanup. This parish certainly has that small hometown feel which makes you feel at ease.
