They were always happy to be dropped off and looked amazing when we picked them up. We now have a puppy who we have brought to Ballgarvan kennels a few times. She loves it and is always relaxed and in great form when we collect her so we know she has had a great time. We would Highly recommend these kennels. Patrick is so knowledgeable and always on hand if you need advise or help.

If…read moreyou have a dog that likes to do nothing, but has a clean, heated kennel, then this is the place, but not for energetic dogs needed stimulation and cuddles. The dogs are just left in an outdoor fenced-in area to sniff around. My dog was there for only one night on one occassion and the poor dog pooped and pee'd all over the sitting room for the next two nights. That tells me either she never got out of the kennel or she was stressed. When I picked her up from the kennel she would be shivering until we got home. Now i have found a kennel where she reacts the same as if we were pulling up at the beach, so excited to get out and see the kennel owner and enjoy her holiday there.

His staff are well informed, friendly and eager to help. The shop is well stocked and they have a wide variety of animals, they are also able to order in for specific animals and products if you want them. Pat has actually ordered in a large number of exotic animals for me (over 20 animals ) from both abroad and within Ireland. His prices are very reasonable, some items are just a bargain :-) as a result he is my one stop shop for all my pet supplies. (I tend to buy in bulk). When ordering things in they usually come in a timely manner, and in the off chance that there is a delay, they have always kept me up to date and well informed. There was one instance where the wholesaler (not sully's fault at all) made a mistake and Pat was very quick in resolving this for me (he offered me either a refund or to see if the wholesaler could redeem themselves, I took the refund and I was reimbursed shortly after). So if things do go wrong then your in good hands. I am very satisfied with the overall service and what's on offer. Also on another note, Sully's is often involved with a lot of charity events for animals, so there's a chance that some of the money you spend here will actually go on to help animals in need :-)

He told me he'd order a fish and I still hadn't got it a year later. He told me to ring and always said definitely next week. He lied to me every week for a year. He had some really elaborate lies too. From quarantine stories to sick fish needing medicine out the back.... Makes me sad to think that people can treat other people like that. If thats the respect he has for people I pity the animals there.

We'd been very impressed when we first visited (by arrangement). We weren't too concerned that she…read morewasn't yet registered with the IKBCA, as we assumed she'd be accepted when she applied. When we dropped the cats off, some grass fell from my husband's shoe and Imelda insisted on cleaning it up straight away. We took this as a sign that she was obsessive about cleaning (a good thing) and so had no hesitation about leaving our two cats for three weeks. We were sent videos while away and all seemed well. Distressingly, our experience was very different when we picked them up. The litter tray was overflowing. It stank of pee, and the poo hadn't been removed for at least a couple of days. The blankets were stained with pee (a clear indication they were unable to use their tray, which was right next to the food bowls and not in the outer area, where it should have been). One of our cats was injured. He had a large cut on his right shoulder, and this has taken weeks to heal (involving several visits to the vet and daily medication). Imelda showed no concern about this and has not responded to requests to check the pen for sharp items that could have cut him. We'd failed to call to let her know exactly when we'd arrive on the day we'd arranged to collect them. Had we done so, she'd have had time to clean the pen and we'd have been unaware of the true conditions. This has all been very upsetting for us and, of course, for our beloved cats. Never again.
