As well as funitures, clothes and food shop. The restaurant and cafe served hot and cold food. I even joined the membership card where it costs a tenner. You'll get free 2 drinks each month and buy one get on free meals three times a year plus 10% discount. I've already made my money back on money i've saved. Really happy to have found this relaxing place to go to on a sunday.

But saying that - this isn't B&Q or just some rubbish shop just selling plants and trees - it has everything you could want in life and was the perfect place to spend a wet and windy Friday off work with our 2 little kids. Here's the ace points: * A fantastic food hall serving food from local suppliers and so much tasty stuff - in house butchers, bakers etc * Huge Reserve Wines area with great selection of vino on offer * Possibly one of the best craft beer selections to take away - at least 30 different breweries from local to further afield. * 3 great cafes and one specialising in tapas and champagne - PIMP living! *loads of kiddy activities and sand pit etc, great kids toys shop * loads of plants and outdoorsy stuff it that floats your boat... * Good quality coffee - proper sized flat whites... It's tiny, so don't come here expecting to see a huge range of plants and supplies. But that said, they make wonderful use of the space available to offer a good range of well chosen and curated products. In fact it's remarkable how much they've managed to cram in here. For such a tiny plot in a residential area they've got a wide range of plants, including some growing in a tiny greenhouse. There's also a range of gardening supplies and a beautiful range of small flowerpots - actually nicer than I've seen in many big garden centres. Staff are friendly and clearly very knowledgeable but also gave us space to browse in peace. Parking can be a bit of an issue since you'll need to find space on the road nearby.

Outside they have fencing, wooden buildings(various types) loads of planters, decking and patio flags.They have car parking. This is a useful rather than exciting garden centre. This company used to have another branch that recently closed and this branch feels a little cluttered. They used to carry a large range of gifts, candles & cards . They still have some but not much. This garden centre is great for buying plants (particularly out of season)but it is a no frills type of place.

Sometimes a bargain is available but most things seem to be overpriced especially for a cash and carry. Tesco usually have better deals on! I have never seen a rush of people here or a rush of staff for that matter. On my last visit I think there were only two other customers in the place but when I came to the tills to pay I still had to wait and the lady who served me was verging on rude! I only go here when I am desperate for something I can't find elsewhere.

I think those who have complained about the attitudes, possibly didn't make their requests clearly enough, or were aggressive in manner, but can't really comment further. Yes, there are times when they don't have stocks of some items I am sure every business has run out of something at one time or another, especially when they have as many customers as Makro do.
