When my mom began showing signs of dementia and her condition progressed, it quickly became clear it was no longer safe for her and my dad to live alone. I reached out to every city, county, and state organization I could find for help--and hit wall after wall. No one could assist us. That is, until we found Sterling Commons. From the very beginning, the team at Sterling Commons has been nothing short of angels on Earth. They've answered every question I had--plus so many I didn't even know to ask. They've treated my parents with the utmost dignity, patience, and compassion, no matter the situation. Their positive attitude never wavers, even on the hardest days. I truly cannot express the depth of my gratitude for the staff at Sterling Commons. Even now that I've managed to bring my parents to Hawaii, the team continues to go out of their way to help me with things back in California--without any obligation to do so. They've consistently gone above and beyond for my family. If you're looking for a place you can wholeheartedly trust with your loved one's memory care, I can't recommend Sterling Commons enough. They have been a blessing to us.

Was on the summer so apparently the AC needed work because it went out. They did bring in swamp coolers which helped. However they discharged her with a toenail fungus. CNA kept mom in diapers for their convenience since there are so few of them & one told me she hated working there & was looking for a different line of work. The nurses are outstanding as are the physical therapists. And mom liked the post money bingo. CNA's look and act overworked.

She had refused a skilled nursing facility for the past 4 hospital visits. I cannot express the frustration with her in general. Coming here for her was a big step. The center is clean, girls are attentive if you ask for things, and there are three square meals served. My Mom enjoys the food, but I wouldn't call it gourmet. So far my she's been here two nights and they do vitals/breathing treatments. She hasn't seen a PT person to help with strengthening yet (I think he stopped in when she was in the restroom and didn't return) and the doctor has 72 hours to follow up from discharge of the hospital. Yes her neighbor has a loud TV, it bothers my Mom. Yes, she doesn't think to ask for things she needs, yes you have to be proactive as a "relative". Half these people here have hearing issues. What else would you expect? I know my grandparents TV is loud AF. This isn't the ritz, and it's above average for what I was expecting. For visitors you can stop by Target and the million other stores near by to get your needs. I got my Mom some over the eat head phones to watch her movies while the neighbor blares her TV.

Over the years I have encountered several families who had loved ones living there, and now I have moved my mother there. My mom was placed on hospice and we chose Chantilly Lace because we heard so many wonderful things from so many different people. And everything we heard was absolutely true. The home itself is very nice. It's extremely clean and it feels and looks just like your neighbor's house. My mom came from two different hospitals before arriving to Chantilly lace. She was very depressed being in those hospitals, and as soon as she arrived to Chantilly Lacy, her face lightened up and it was the first time we had seen her smile in weeks. Terry and her staff are extremely loving to the residents and their families. We spent Christmas Day there and we had such a wonderful day. They made a wonderful feast and gave out presents to the residents. They are a fun and lively staff, so it felt like we were visiting family. I passed away there in January 2023 and I know she felt so loved and cared for by each staff member. I am so thankful to Chantilly Lace for taking such wonderful care of my mother. We will always be grateful and we definitely consider them family now. I still stay in touch with Terry, in fact. Thank you Chantilly Lace for everything!!
