This used to be our annual go to cart rental. Don't know what has happened? The carts look aged, especially compared to where we ended up renting from. They also are unwilling to "deviate" from their pricing. It's crazy, you have 100 carts just sitting there and 20 other cart rental places with almost as many sitting, and you won't budge on an off season price. I don't understand why you would rather they sit and earn you zero income, versus making a deal and getting some cash money, in an off season time period. So we rented elsewhere. read more

been visiting port A for some time now and have always found it hard to find a place to receive good service for cart rentals. Every place I came across was very unfriendly and doesn't seem like a welcoming environment they all just seemed very money hungry and just wanted to get you in and out .That is until I came across bron's this hidden gem a local told me to go to was well worth it .From first glance I could tell right off the back it was a family friendly establishment. my daughter saw the shaved ice stand and immediately we were greeted with two friendly faces in two outstanding employees in AMANDA and MAYSE . Definitely a power house in customer service they were very welcoming with the kids inviting us in to attend the band they had playing later that night and told us the place was very family oriented and it was! The kids played ping pong corn hole and had some shaved ice and the adult shaved ice LOL outstanding we even got to rent the golf kart we so desperately needed to drive around in. All and all we ended up coming back me and my husband shared a gallon of that great adult shaved ice amazing service was like visiting family like a home away from home 10 out of 10 would always recommend! read more

We chose Bron's as it was close to where we were staying in Port A for the 4th of July holiday. The carts are a bit old and not well maintained. We needed to leave early ahead of Hurricane Beryl, and they refused to refund us any money. The told us that it was our responsibility if the carts were damaged by the storm, but yet when we tried to return the cart early, we were charged our full 5 day rental. They stated "we will charge you the full amount, even if due to weather". This is an extraordinary circumstance and thought they would have integrity. this was not the case. After we left, the city issued a mandatory evacuation of Port A tourists. We will never rent from this business again. They deserve zero stars. read more

I had been a happy customer with Bron's for 5 years before our visit to Port Aransas on October 23-26, 2024. They rented us a cart with NO HEADLIGHTS and a passenger seat belt that DID NOT WORK. They did replace the cart promptly but the staff was rude, negligent, and explained that driving around Port Aransas at night without headlights and seatbelts is "no big deal". Sunday afternoon 8/22/21 I've always wanted to stop by Bron's. I follow their Facebook and Instagram and couldn't wait to make the trip. My husband and I walked up at the front sliding window and asked for drinks. The guy behind the window thought my husband rolled his eyes and told my husband "your about to get slapped for rolling your eyes at me". My husband and I looked at each other in shock! We turned and walked away!! Who speaks to their customers in that way?!? That has never happened to us before and this was a big disappointment. We have rented golf carts from Bron's for 6 years and have never had a bad experience until this year. Both carts are new, 1st one broke down. Both the 1st and 2nd golf carts are set to not go fast and we are getting passed up up by all other golf carts rented from other businesses. it has created one of our favorite parts of vacationing at Port A to now be our least favorite. No refunds are offered to turn in early. No discount or refund offered due to being broken down, stranded and out a taxi fee. Will not rent from Bron's in the future. read more

I have been using browns beach carts since they opened. They have always been nice and they even let you pick a color if they have options. The process has always been easy and if there is a problem they will exchange carts if they have an extra. The set up for the bar area is great as well. Terrible service. Even worse language. The young chicks here curse like sailors & don't know what the rates are from a hole in the sand. When I walked up to the sales office there was no one there to greet me. There was no one anywhere to be found. Two very young girls were washing carts in the background but they were the only ones there. No adults present. The one young pretty blonde told me &@$% was cheap now & that I could get a great #€%€ING rate now that it's winter. That was the average language of this 15ish year old girl :(( I inquired about the rates for my Xmas holiday & got a totally different rate from when I asked over the phone 5 days prior. I have yet to get a call about the monthly rates from the owner. I guess he's too busy for my inquiry & business. I guess I will be renting my beach carts somewhere else in the near future where they actually can string two proper words together without it sounding like someone who just got out of prison. So let me start by saying that this review is 100% on the quality of beverages here at Bron's. I came in from ATL during Spring Break (I'm dumb, I know) and they had zero rentals for the day. But, they did have a bar. Always a winner in my book. As we are standing there trying to decide what we wanted, the guy working gave us his suggestions and we rolled with it. Seriously, THE BEST DAIQUIRIS I have EVER HAD. I don't know what else was used in making this, but they definitely use a sweet cream mixture to step it up a notch. Make sure you try the key lime pie one. You won't be disappointed. Also, smart man working the bar. He only offered large and extra large. I couldn't resist the XL. I mean, it's Texas and everything is bigger and better here. Unfortunately we were there during the day so couldn't experience the sweet outside setup. Would've been dope to chill in the swinging chairs listening to some live music. But alas, I will be returning in May. And will 100% book my cart rental in advance and stay for the entertainment. read more

Reserved a two seater cart on Easter. We paid $90 to have it for about six hours, which I thought was fair. It was a little older than most of the others I saw driving around, so if you are someone who cares about having the best looking ride... Then maybe try one of the other locations or businesses. Or get a six seater from brons they were nicer also. Some of the other carts also had radios and none of the ones at Brons do, but I would rather talk with my honey and visit rather than listen to a radio anyway! !Overall I couldn't be happier with how the day went... The carts make it wonderful to get around and save the travel time walking around the beach. You can drive them anywhere on the street except on the major highway through town, my sweetheart and I had a blast driving around, sightseeing and taking in the beautiful day! read more

Great group and fun beach carts. When we came to Port A the first time they seemed like the only game in town, but they have a lot of competition now. Rented a small cart a few weekends ago and it was perfect for our trip. The only way to get around Port A. I'd like to give Brons some kudos for the Brons backyard setup as well. Drinks from the go-to bar are great and the entertainment they provided was a lot of fun. My only negative point was that the gas gauge didn't work on our cart so we had to lift the seat to check the tank because they told us it could run out fast. read more

They left us stranded last Sunday. What a way to spend Mother's Day. Breakdown and main phone numbers never answered, messages not returned to this day. Finally called the bar 3 times and someone found the off duty mechanic who brought us a replacement. Not answering the phone for your customers who could be (and were) stranded is an absolute deal breaker. All these great reviews are from lucky people that didn't have issues. Go elsewhere. We were down in South Texas visiting family and decided to hit the beach in Port Aransas while we were there. We called ahead to book an umbrella and two chairs, and when I got there I expected to pick them up from a trailer (like we'd done in the past), but we were in for an experience. Bron's has our beach chairs set out (+6 ft apart to dodge the Rona) but an attendant showed us to a reserved parking are, and carried our cooler to out spot. We have rented from Brons for years. This year was a completely different experience then any other. When we got our 1st cart it was going so slow we were getting passed by other carts. Then it finally broke down and when I called to let them know it had broken down the guy that answered informed me that he was asleep and could come deal with it the next day unless it was an emergency. I told him I would try to start it again to drive it back to Bron's. The next morning I got the cart going and drove it back to Bron's to switch it out. They gave us a nasty rusted cart and when I asked about the nicer cart they side it was slower and we wouldn't want it. The cart was super jerky and had a hard time going. We were super disappointed. I paid $572.51 in total for 3 days! They literally charged me $20 for not paying in cash? Who the hell would pay that in cash especially if you have to have a card on file. I will never use Bron's again especially with all of the other great cart places around here. read more

What an awful experience. From the moment we arrived, the person behind the counter talked down to us. All we did was ask a couple of questions. You guys have policies and I get it. I am also a business owner. But we felt attacked even before we even got the first question out. We are a family. My kids are 7 and 9. How unfortunate that this person felt the need to speak to us in this way in front of our children. I don't know if it is my age, my race or if this person just didn't like the way I look. We didn't look around for carts before getting one from here. They are rusty, no windshield, old seatbelts that barley reach across. We saw some new carts for $10 more per day that are very nice! Don't get suckered in here and sign a contract because you can't return. Update: we spoke with a guy who rented from Paradise carts and we were 100% ripped off. $230 for Sunday at 4:30- Monday drop off at closing. He rented his for 2 days $130! His cart is also newer, with nice seat belts that aren't rusted - much safer for little ones! Safe to say this company just wants the extra buck. They could have worked with us since we picked up late in the afternoon Sunday, and the carts aren't even new or up to date! I'll keep warning everyone we know to never use them and go to one of their competitors since they were unwilling to allow us to return Sunday at 8pm. read more

Since my Yelp CM days, I don't find much time to write reviews being a busy mom to my now three girls. But I have to jot a quick diddly about how much FUN this place is, and perfect it is for evening entertainment for families. The have a to-go bar (yay for mom and dad!), and several fun things for kids to do. A sand box, a mid sized blow up water slide and pool, life size connect four, hula hoops, and other yard games. They've got live music/shows/entertainment or sorts every night too. My girls are 6 and 3.5 and my husband and I sat and watched them play for almost three hours each night. For older kids/teens they also have a seriously cool gaming center with something currently up my husband called Fortnite? Like what's that about any way?! ANYWHO, just wanted to give a shout out that we enjoyed this place so much on top of our regular beach buggy rental! read more

I had called prior to my arrival and reserved 2 carts a 6 seater and a 4 seater for my sons bday weekend. When we got there they didn't have my 4 seater so we were out in 2 six seaters. I asked if we could get the carts with the plastic window and was told there weren't any available this was Saturday mid day. She said for me to check back that evening. So we go by there in the evening and asked if there were any cars with the window she looked at me like I was crazy while rolling her eyes she said no do you see any? So the next day since we rented the carts for two days 48 hours we came back Sunday morning and there were two carts with The plastic windshields I asked if we could get into those carts since it had been rainy and cold she said no someone else had reserve those carts and I could not have them. I asked her what about my reservation from two days before and she did not respond I Asked if there's anything we can do she said no. I even asked since it hasn't been less than 24 hours since I rented it can I get a refund for the additional day for both carts since the carts had no windshields and it was raining it was cold, she rudely told me no and said if I wanted to I could just leave them there and would not get any of my money back. So I had to use some ingenuity and I bought some Saran wrap from the local store there and created my own windshield. It actually worked quite nice but made their carts look much worse than they already do. I think there are the oldest cart place in Port Aransas I would recommend using the newer places, because I know they all have windshields and everyone in their carts were nice and dry and had smiles on their face as a road around in the warmth while my family and I were wet and cold and we're not given a refund. read more
