This place is massive, with three floors of curated objects, clothing, and furnishings, and the staff is always nice. I wish I could bring the big pieces home! I always find something cool here. Three levels packed with furniture, kitchen wares, lighting, music, 'velos', gardening stuff, some…read moreart, and, heck, just plain old fun stuff to look at. We were on the hunt for a wardrobe as flats don't seem to have a lot of closets, if any at all, and found a sizable amount on the ground floor of Brockenhaus. I'd say the prices ranged anywhere from 300 to 1000 CHF, depending on quality and such. While we didn't purchase anything given that we don't yet have a flat, we 'filed' away what we would like when we do have a place to put it in, so, Brockenhaus, we'll see you again!

If you're like…read moreme, then you may have those friends who are of the opinion that second-hand clothing shops are 'icky' and don't tend to shop in such places. Well, I challenge those with a low tolerance for 'ick' to find anything wrong with this particular Caritas shop. It's tidy, funky, inviting, and has an attractive, if, however, rather narrow selection of items for adults. I was impressed with the children's selection. Parents would do well to shop here! For those keen on donating articles of clothing, accessories and shoes, there is a large, red Caritas drop-off 'box' around the back of the shop at your disposal. Also fun: the window displays are ever-changing and well-arranged.

Not everything was my taste, but when it was, I loved it so much that nearly squeeled in delight. Would have bought even more if everything came in my size. Great shop!
