It's a skill set that runs in his family; his father and grandfather established the business, and Tony had a natural knack for it despite wanting to become a marine biologist. That's one of the few fun facts you'll learn about Tony as you become a regular patient of his. He's a very friendly and funny guy and you'll be sharing stories in no time. If you're booked in for a chiropractic adjustment the appointment will go down like this. (Important to know because I've been to chiropractors before where I haven't needed to dress down.) 1. One of the girls at the desk will lead you into an adjustment room. You'll need to strip down to your underwear here. 2. You'll be massaged by one of the girls to loosen up your muscles so you adjust easier. 3. A heat lamp will be placed above your problem areas to soften the muscle further. 4. Let the adjustments begin! Tony's method of adjustment is very physical, so don't be alarmed if at some stage he is pushing his weight against you to align a specific part of your spine, or tugging on your legs to balance out your pelvis. (This is less suss than it sounds.) Follow the adjustment up with a swim and you'll feel revitalised for weeks to come.

I have always been a skeptic of all things chiropractic, however I was at a Discover Paleo evening…read morerecently and there was a presentation by Megan a Chiropractor at Windsor Chiropractic. I became a little bit curious so I made an appointment for the following week. I arrived early as directed to fill out paperwork. The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming and happy to assist with any questions that we had. I was then taken through and we had a chat about my lifestyle, medical history and current problems. A very detailed assessment was then carried out, and the chiropractor picked up on a couple of things that could not have been guessed that were happening with my heal. That made me even more curious about what this service could offer for me. At the same appointment i had some laser to help with a couple of extremely tight muscles that had inflammation. And then some adjustments. Whilst not lovely, the adjustments weren't horrific like I had been expecting. I came back a few days later for my report of findings. The chiropractor took time to go through it all in detail with me and allowed time for any questions that i may have. A recommended course of treatment was then explained but no obligation put on you as the patient to commit to things if they were too expensive. A plan that is both affordable and time manageable for you is worked out. The whole team come across as caring, passionate about what they do and empathetic to their patients conditions. The practice has HICAPS so private insurance claims can be made there and then. There are 2 chiropractors at this practice and they operate between Windsor and Stafford so you can pick which location is easiest for you. There are no private parking spaces, however there are a lot of spaces available in neighbouring streets ranging from 1-2 hours free parking.

Alan has been integral in ensuring my health is optimal and it is clear that he has a real passion for what he does. I have been trusting Windsor Chiropractic with my care as an adult with a long-term shoulder issue (now resolved), pre-natal & post-natal care and also with my son's care since he was 1 day old. Alan is incredibly caring and always positive and upbeat which is why he is such an amazing chiropractor and healthcare professional.

Having moved to Brisbane to be with my boyfriend (we're talking soulmate material here, full…read moresoaring soundtrack, wind-in-the-hair lovestory involving a massive move two states away) I had to find myself a chiropractor. I had experienced patchy spinal care throughout my life but nothing so amazing that I wanted to continue seeing any particular practitioner. That was until my partner recommended his chiropractor. He had been seeing him weekly for years and had nothing but great things to say about him. You see my man is a dentist. He's bending over looking into people's mouths all day every day, and as a result he requires constant spinal adjustment and care. There's little hope being in the job he's in, that he will be able to function well without ongoing treatment. I booked in to see Nic and the team upon my first recommendation and found the whole premise to be bright, clean and very professional with extremely up-beat and friendly staff. Nicholas Armitage is himself a consumate professional at what he does. From the initial consultation he kept me informed about what was happening with my spine and what kind of care would work best for me. His adjustments are fast and painless and I always walk out feeling more flexible and almost like "the lights have been switched back on". My sleep, standing, walking, exercising, breathing, menstrual pain, headaches and general sense of energy and wellbeing have all improved as a result of my regular treatments, Initially I was booked in the same as my partner, for weekly treatments. As my spine improved we were able to adjust my timetable to fortnightly visits. This is something that I love about Hawthorne Chiropractic - the emphasis on reducing the amount of treatment you need and actively working to Repair and Restore the spine throughout your journey. Now, having seen Nic and the girls for 6 years now I can say they are more than just the very best chiropractic practice I have ever had the pleasure of seeing, they are also firm friends. I would recommend them to anyone. Even if you have occasional pain or stress in any area of your body, Nic can help. Oh, and yes. I'm still madly in love with the man I moved to be with. :)

After several months of nag-, no, strike that, expressing concern to my husband regarding his back complaints (he, after all, does back-breaking work in the construction business), I was able to convince him to see a chiropractor instead of a Thai massage therapist. Okay, Thai massages feel AMAZING, but lets be real, I think being properly diagnosed and treated would be the way to go in getting optimized health and reducing back/spine issues. Anywho, back to Hawthorne Chiropractic: Dr Nicholas Armitage is the doc here. He is charismatic and have excellent bed-side manners. The office is family friendly, kids can play at the "kiddie corner" which is really just a small table with kids books and wooden toy trains and tracks - very cute. Dr. Armitage likes (and I appreciate) taking a through health history and X-rays to see what's going on in the body before making any actual adjustments. After a couple sessions (so far - it'll be an on-going plan), I am seeing some improvements in my husband's posture and in his over-all health.
