We never got to try them as we were rudely asked to leave by the waitress and was stared down by this guy. We moved from one table to their table (since theirs was in the shade) with our already paid coffee from the next cafe which by the way we did not know they were separate as the tables were the same. We asked the waitress if we could get another coffee from her cafe but since French people have a reputation of being rude by not trying to speak in English, she may or may not have understood. Anyway, this is the first time that we ourselves have run into such rude French people. We've been in France a few times and have always had a pleasant experience. Best café on the Place Carnot for the quality of food and non-touristy vibe. The upstairs is quaint, if a little cramped (tall people: watch your heads). Briocherie Arpin does not have good (any?) outdoor seating, so if your goal is to sit on the square, choose another café.
