My wife and I went to Brimmam Rocks Cottages the week before the tour de France for a week. Never been before, but the reviews on other sites suggested a wonderful place for peace and quiet.
Varying ranges of occupation from 2 to 6 people in a square of old stone converted barns, ours was for two, small compact, spotlessly clean, wine and chocolates on arrival and a giant 4 poster in its one upstairs bedroom.
Outside there are little private gardens each with a hot tub, across in a large building there is a swimming pool with changing facilities, games room and library of books and films.
Being seasoned holiday let people, we took various things such as torch, our own knives and various home comforts that are usually not there, but Brimmam Rocks Cottages had the lot.
There is a BBQ area, dog walking area, children's playground (away from the cottages.) but if you want anything else it's a walk or car journey, however, it is fairly close to the Half Moon pub which serves excellent food and not far from several stunning little villages.
There is a lot to pack in to your days with a nice warm hot tub to come back to.
Really relaxed when we left and one of our most chilled holidays. read more
