I would not recommend Kirbo Law firm for a Probate matter. I needed an attorney to help me handle a…read morevery simple probate case. Not being from the area, I relied on a friend of a friend recommendation. I hired Aurora Kirbo to handle this for me. While the paperwork was eventually filed, I found that Mrs. Kirbo lacked the compassion and empathy necessary to deal with a grieving family member who has never been thru the probate process. She did not keep me updated on the process and did not return phones calls. I had to call the office repeatedly to follow up and get my appointment with the judge scheduled. At the end of my appointment with the judge which was a very emotional day for me, I stood in the hall and waited for her while she stayed in the judges chambers to discuss football. When I had a follow up question after my filing was completed, it took me 3 weeks and 3 messages to get in touch with her and this was only because on my 4th time calling she happened to answer the phone. While to my knowledge the actual legal work was done correctly (hence the generous 2 stars) I would not recommend her or hire her again.

David Venable is a poor attorney. During his representation of me he padded his billable hours,…read morerefused to use impeachment evidence against the woman, Cindy Hetzer, who was falsely accusing me of crimes and tried to enter into an agreement with the opposing counsel without discussing it with me. OverBilling/Bill Padding I sent him a tracked link to a video of an incident in question in which Cindy Hetzer claims I tried to hit her with my car. The video was 2:14 second. The tracked link, sent only to Mr. Venable, reported that he watched 1:43 seconds of the video and only once. In his billable hours he tried to bill me for 12 minutes, 1/10 of one hour. I had drafted an answer and counterclaim. He added approximately 275 words to my document and then filed it with the court. He billed me for 3 hours for this task. Refusing to Use Impeachment Evidence Cindy Michelle Littleton-Hetzer stated that I drove my car towards her as she was backing away from me and as I got close to her I cut my wheel sharply toward her trying to hit her and came very near to hitting her. The video showed that she was walking toward my moving vehicle as she was bocking my exit from her property. I drove off of the driveway and around her. A court later ruled that no reasonable person would believe that I attempted to hit her with my car. Dave Veneable had this video and did not use it to impeach her at the hearing when she testified that I tried to hit her. 4 times during the hearing the Judge had to admonish Dave Venable that his argument(the same one about a 5 year old breastfeeding schedule) was irrelevant. Venable, for some reason thought it was a legally sound move to argue that a 5 year old breastfeeding schedule was the highlight of his defense against false allegation of vehicular assault. Then, on September 23rd 2026 after a very contentious hearing in which I was representing myself against John Harringtons abusive litigation in Bleckley Court, Dave Venable was heard telling John Harrington that he tried to warn him (Harrington) about me. Do not hire this man. If you want to review his communications with me and the transcripts of this hearing, I'm happy to share them with you if it will help make your mind up about not hiring him.
