Curry's Who does not know of Curry's electrical store and…read moretogether with Dixons they are no longer in the city centre The one at Pontypridd still retains the old excellence of a large electrical store In the past I have found that many of the salespersons did not have a great deal of technical knowledge and were only interested in selling ( well who can blame them? ) however my recent visit I found the salesman ( should I mention the name ? ) was able to discuss technical matters in great detail . Whether this was due to prior knowledge or a revamped training program I will not know but it was a pleasure to meet someone who knew what they were talking about. If you shop carefully some remarkable bargains are to be had .In fact also they promise to refund the difference and give the buyer in addition a small percentage of the purchase price if you can find the same object at a cheaper price within seven days of purchase I am not certain if this applies to goods found on the internet. I was in the shop looking for compact digital camera and one I selected was an all singing all dancing model ( if you know what I mean !) reduced in price by a- hard to believe -£ 100 ! There were some little snags as there was no memory card supplied so you had to purchase one in addition ( otherwise the camera was almost useless There was a very small amount of memory built enough for one or two photographs ) Although I suspect that you could get a cheaper card on the net But 'Penny pinching' aside it was still a remarkable bargain. If you are looking for a flat screen TV they have so many on display that choice becomes confusing and they seem reasonable enough in price although I have not done a price comparison. There is in addition a large selection of household electrical goods and one can spend a pleasant time 'window shopping' for anything from computers to Hi Fi and radios.

No delivery possible or option to pay online as old sale stock I asked She moves would they go in store , collect it and get it to me They took the initiative and said . Most courier companies I know would say no as too much bother for them to go into the shop , pay , and collect I was sent a more than reasonable quote and communication was friendly , understanding and quick . I then get an incredible message back saying they had found the item on eBay !! saving me money and not needing her service any more How incredible An honest and ethical company So genuine moving next year so will be calling She moves again. They do however, also have a good selection of music books and sheet paper, Including many scores from popular films, TV shows and Musicals. That distasteful though that goes "we are the instrument masters, and you people want to come and get your grubby fingers all over them? Eugh! Peasants!" And Cranes has that particular element of snobbishness all over them. And in stores such as Gamlin's, there is so much choice, and so many people asking you questions about what you're looking for that there is a small element of intimidation. That's not their fault; it's a symptom of their dedication to their field. In Pencerdd Cyf though, you have the perfect balance. The reverence for the instruments and the knowledgability that comes with it is there, but there's no sense of "us insiders, you outsiders". Instead, there's an atmosphere of community in the store; an atmosphere that fosters musicianship. If I could combine the service here with the stock of Cranes, you might just have the perfect music store.

Inside the Potting shed sells many little household items and gifts which are pretty, practical, or a combination of both.
