I found Elevation Church about 7 years ago while searching for a positive motivational quote, but instead I found something more spectacular. For some angelic reason, my mouse landed on this church and as I listen to Pastor Steven's preaching, I felt that the sermons were intentionally written just for me. Since that day listening to him preach became a daily devotion. Elevation Church is a wonderful family to belong to and despite the distance, you will feel the warmth, togetherness and love from everybody. I recently added Elevation Church, meeting the Pastors and staff to my bucket list and I hope it will happen very soon. Check it out and maybe something good is in store for you as well.

His sermon spoke on how we must re-interpret the Bible on its statements on homosexuality and transgendered people. That the verses don't really mean what they state. I vote for equal human rights for the LGBTQ community BUT I draw the line at changing what the Lord commands for his children and for the church. This is a church that has fallen victim to the blurring of the lines of morality due to social pressure. This church is not for me.

The 10:30 services are definitely the most crowded ones on Sunday, but there is also an 8:45 and 0500 PM service. There's a young adult Bible study on Thursday evenings, SoCal Christian group on Fridays, and a bunch of youth activities.

Eastside's values are to Pursue God, Build Community, and Unleash Compassion and you'll struggle to find a more genuine and compassionate group of Christians in any area of the country or world. They have a genuine heart for the broken hearted, the struggling, the addicted, and the unchurched/uncertain and anyone will find themselves at home here, even if you don't believe you are a Christian (in fact their unofficial motto is "this is for everyone"). There's a place for everyone to volunteer or serve here too, whether it's in Production, at the cafe, as a greeter or in the kids ministry, Kidside (which is always a highlight of my daughter's week!) There has been a blessing to me and my wife. Lotta love there. That's for sure. All the pastors are top-notch they preach the word of God there. It's a great great place to meet new people whether you're single married young or old we have everything there and it's pretty well mixed culturally speaking, I attend the men's prayer group Tuesday nights. It's changed my walk with God leaps and bounds. My wife goes to the Tuesday morning women's Bible study. I went to church to pray and give thanks to God for the progress I've made in my personal goals and…read morethe recent success I've experienced. I had made an oath and felt genuinely called to go pray. When I arrived, Mass was already in progress, but I only intended to quietly join for a few minutes. As I walked in, an older woman at the front stopped me. I was wearing a hat, which I planned to remove once I sat down, but before I could do that, she told me I wasn't allowed to enter. I asked why, explaining that I just wanted to pray and be part of the service. She refused and told me I couldn't come in. Then, she went as far as to physically hit my hat and told me I was being disrespectful. I asked again if she was seriously denying me access to join the Mass and pray, and she said yes. She told me to go to the chapel instead if I wanted to pray. I've never experienced anything like this before especially in a place that's supposed to be open to anyone seeking God. It felt wrong to be turned away like that when all I wanted was to pray and express gratitude.
