She listened to exactly what I wanted and only pulled dresses that fit within those parameters. This shop is friendly, professional, understanding and the best in the city. Found my dream dress here! I made a last minute appointment at Bridal Elegance after I spent the day at a different bridal shop and left feeling defeated. Bridal Elegance got me in right away and Alyssa truly listened to what I wanted. They have a great selection and the prices are transparent. I was told by the other store that I couldn't order a new dress because my wedding was in 5 months. Bridal Elegance got me my brand new dress in 2 months!! Highly recommend. Queen B was incredible here! She made our experience so fun and went above and beyond to find everything I was looking for! They are flexible on prices and have a great price range for people looking for something affordable! I did not end up finding my wedding dress here, but the customer service was so great and the stylists are all so nice! One start knocked off only because our appointment was set for 12 and when we arrived it was closed with no lights on and no one inside. Another couple was waiting outside the door as well for their appointment. We waited around for 20 minutes and were about to leave, but finally someone came and opened up the shop. I have been to every other bridal salon in the area and Bridal Elegance was the first and last: we found my dream wedding gown from the first visit but felt like I should give other stores another chance just in case. I made an appointment to try on wedding dresses for the first time, and was the first appointment of the day. I tired on ONE dress before things just fell apart. I they literally forgot I was there for a bit because they had a girl come in for a fitting, and one to try on ballgowns, about 30 min into me trying things on, that they enlisted the other employees to help them with. I patiently waited, eventually my dresser came back with a ballgown for me to try on. I had specified from the start this wasn't the type of dress I was looking for. I then had to convince her I didn't want to try it on, and repeated the style I was looking for. She left and after about 40 minutes of more waiting she came back with another older lady and said they were "very busy" that day and asked if I would mind rescheduling. It honestly was a miserable experience, and as someone who works in the bridal service industry I was horrified and appalled that this is what they deem as appropriate. I highly recommend avoiding them like the plague. To clarify: I made my apt two weeks in advance, for the first thing in the morning. I was there for over 2.5hrs and they interacted with me for about 10 minutes of it. Also I posted this on google but no one should have to put up with this shit so I sharing here too. I took my business to Springs Bridal and they were wonderful. I found my dress in the same day, staff were attentive, kind, smart, and had excellent taste helping brides find what they like. They went above and beyond helping us, and we got tux's and bridesmaid dresses there too. They made everything easy and painless and it didn't break the bank! Springs Bridal is the best place to go if you're looking for a formal gown, then amazon, then your grandmas closet. Not here though. read more

I was oddly surprised by how big of a selection this store had. This store doesn't look like much from the outside what with the busted sign and the odd location but my sister and I decided to take a look on a whim after the girls at Davids Bridal snubbed us at the door. We called while driving towards the shop and they graciously fit us right away. We walked in and the receptionist was on the phone for awhile so we made ourselves at home and browsed the prom gowns for fun while waiting for someone to come out. Out walks Tabitha with a big warm smile and after a short consult, we were down to business. I thought it was so nice of her to try to keep me way under my budget by showing me bridesmaid dresses that could be ordered in ivory for my destination wedding, but ultimately I didn't like any of the structured simpler dresses we looked over. She then brought me to the left side of the store with the larger selection of more traditional gowns and we picked out three different gowns for mix it up. I thought I wanted one thing but after seeing myself in an actual wedding gown, I knew the dress we put on was the right now. I won't go into detail as to what I ultimately bought because I don't want to give any hints to anyone who'll be attending. My heart was kind of broken when Tabitha came back to tell me there was a chance she couldn't get my dress in ivory but she kept my number and did follow up with good news. I was in and out in an hour and a half, ultimately got the dress I wanted, and had a very competent bridal consultant who was so skilled and knew exactly what she was doing. She answered all my questions, showed the different options and gave me the rundown on alterations and timing etc. I was so grateful she kept me so under budget. I only spent 33% of my total bridal budget and got a Maggie Sottero which still blows me away. read more

Very disappointed in this place. I made an appointment specifically because the designer I fell in love with listed them as a place that sells their dresses. When they called to confirm and ask details about the style I liked, I SPECIFICALLY told them I liked the Morilee collection. Great. Everything was confirmed and I went in with my mom, sister and future MIL to try on dresses. I got there and it was kinda a disaster on the inside, they huddled you into a corner of the store to fill out a survey and wait to be called forward. When I started talking to my consultant and told her the dresses I was interested, she told me 'we no longer carry that designer, so you can buy off the rack but no special orders or sizes.' so...why am I just now hearing this? Oh well...make the best of it. They don't let you look through the gowns and turn the ones you wanna try, they insist on picking out the gowns for you. The lighting was awful, just fluorescent shop lights. You sit in a crowded area with other brides and their families, I couldn't hear anything and my mom couldn't either. Of all the dresses I tried there was one that I actually liked, and wouldn't you know it was the designer that I freaking came to see! But it was white, and they couldn't get ivory, and it was LITERALLY the one everyone had been trying on for the past, God only knows how long, and they STILL wanted me to pay $1500 for it before taxes! Are you kidding me?!? All in all this was a horrible experience. I did find my dress that day though, not here, but at another boutique across town. Ok. Let me start by saying that Chelsea was WONDERFUL! She was there to greet me on my first time in, and didn't mind that I had my newborn to care for, change, and feed. She NEVER made me feel out of place. She was off the day of my actual appointment but came in just for me. It made me feel great! In the end I ended up finding a dress at another shop, which I only felt bad about because his great Chelsea was. Because of her I do plan on getting all my girls dresses there and all of my accessories. I'll also tell everyone that I know who's getting married to consider this shop, and ask for her! I am so glad to see that I am not the first person to write a negative review of this shop. I don't know who decided to award this place a "Best of the Knot" spot this year, but it is certainly not deserved. Even though I live in Denver, where there are certainly dozens of better shops, I got my wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses and tuxes through this shop since my family and most of the bridal party lives in Colorado Springs. This shop has some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered. We are talking worse than McDonald's, worse than every mall store with angsty teenagers working the counters, worse than most 1-800 numbers, you name it. I gave the shop two stars instead of one because I did find a beautiful dress here. It did take some serious hard work, however. I am 5' 2' and 110 pounds, so I was not looking for your typical poofy Cinderella dress. This was the first thing I told the sales associate when I walked in for my appointment. She told me I could try five dresses on that day. The first four where huge ball gowns. Seriously? You expect me to wear that? Every sample dress I tried on was at least five sizes too large, and they have no clamps to help hold the dresses on. You just have to hold them up. Despite this less than pleasant experience, I found "the dress of my dreams" and ordered it. After an irritating argument about what color I wanted the dress in ("You wanted white, right?" "No, ivory." "Okay, I got a white one." "No, ivory!" "Right, I'll put the order in for white."), I walked away expecting to see the dress in a few months. My estimated arrival date came and went. Okay, I told myself. The dress is a little late. No big deal. I'll call and see if they have a new delivery date for me. "I don't know where the dress is, it's not here, we'll call you back," said the girl on the phone. Okay, they need to do a little checking, not the end of the world. Except over a week later, I still did not get a phone call back. This same routine went on three more times: I call the shop, the shop says we will call you back, there is no return phone call. Finally, I unleashed a fate on the shop worse than any bridezilla tantrum: I told my mother, who paid for the dress. My mother also called, calmly inquired about the dress, and was told she would receive a phone call. Days go by, no phone call. This whole cat and mouse game went on for about two months. Finally, after my mother finally looses a little bit of patience, the dress magically arrives.... quickly. Since my mother lives close to the shop, she went to pick up the dress for me. When she got to the shop, she was told they could not get her the dress because "The person who opens our shipments is off today." After my mother comments that surely someone else in the shop can operate a box cutter, she finally receive the dress. Needless to say, alterations were done elsewhere. I don't even want to type more about the late bridesmaid dresses, the wrong vest color in the rental tuxes, or the clip on ties that come with the rentals. I think anyone who read this far gets the idea. In a nutshell, my dress was beautiful, but I'm sure I could have got just as beautiful a dress at a better shop. read more

I was not very impressed with this store. I came here because my sister purchased her wedding dress here a few years ago. The consultant they set me up with was very inexperienced. I described what I was looking for and she basically just had me walk around and select my own dresses. The dresses were so jam packed on the racks it was very difficult to even see what you were looking at. The consultant failed to tell me that the dresses were arranged by size and I was looking in the 2's. (I'm not big - but I'm no 2!) Other shops I visited only carried a few sample sizes, so it did not matter where you looked size-wise so I did not think to ask. She also failed to tell me that if a dress said, "One of a Kind" it was a discontinued dress and you could only get it in that size. The consultant made me feel like a fatty every time she zipped me into a dress, she would barely zip it up and then say, "Well that's as far as it's going to go!" Finally another consultant told me that I was trying on a "One of a Kind" in a wrong size and that it could not be ordered in the correct size. Had I known that I wouldn't have wasted my time with those dresses - and had I known they carried all sizes I wouldn't have wasted time in the size 2's. I was finally frustrated and leaving when another consultant stepped in with a few styles like I had been asking for the entire time. There was a dress I liked that was a "One of a Kind" that actually fit - and usually stores give you a deal on sample dresses that are discontinued. The experienced consultant said she could probably give me $100 off if I purchased it that day. The inexperienced consultant blurted out that that was the normal special for first time customers who purchased that day. I liked a dress I had tried on at another store better - and I didn't really like how this store operates. I personally would not recommend coming here - there are plenty of better, more ethical stores with better customer service. read more

I had intended to have my bridesmaids purchase dresses from this shop. After my "shopping" experience here, I am SO glad that I chose to buy my dress from Danelle's, and even though I prefer locally owned and operated stores, my bridesmaids will be purchasing their dresses from David's Bridal rather than giving this shop a dime. I made an appointment for a Saturday afternoon for me to bring one of my bridesmaids to try on some specific dresses from Alfred Angelo. When I called, I asked if I needed to make an appointment for bridesmaids dresses, and the woman I spoke with, Laurie, said yes, they were required. I said I was interested in some specific Alfred Angelo styles, and she said they had ALL Alfred Angelo dresses. Fast forward 24 hours, and my friend and I are walking through the door at the exact time of our appointment. We are told by Laurie that we will be working with her, but we need to wait while she helps the walk ins that came in a minute before us. WHAT??? We made an appointment, she should have told the walk ins that they would need to wait while she waited for her appointment to arrive, and if we were late, then they could be helped. While we waited, 2 other walk in groups were assisted before Laurie returned to us. She didn't read the information that I had on my card about my style of wedding, and when talking to her, I said that I wanted my bridesmaid to try on 3 specific dresses, and any other satin, roushed dresses with no embellishments. In the first group of dresses she brought out, there was a chiffon one (with no roushing), and taffeta one, and a satin one with a ton of embellishment. Hello?? Maybe we're not communicating? My friend got dressed in her street clothes to go and see the front desk to see if there was someone else that we might be able to work with that might understand us better, or a manager we could speak with. My friend got ignored. I meanwhile, continued to ask Laurie for these 3 specific dresses, and she kept asking to just look at the pictures, while I asked her just if the store had those three styles of dress...look at the numbers, it's not hard. She goes back to the back, brings back yet another dress that's not what I asked for, and then finally admits that they don't have those three dresses, even after I reminded her that on the phone she told me they carried ALL Alfred Angelo dresses. Finally, because NO ONE at this store indicated that they wanted to help us find dresses (and equal a sale of five $250 dresses) we informed Laurie that we would be going to another store, to which she merely replied okay. On our way out, again, we inquired if their was someone at the store who could try to salvage this experience for us, and we were informed that we could fill out a customer comment form. After I specified that I wanted to speak with a live human being directly, I was told to call Stella the store manager "sometime this week." Believe me, I will call Stella, and I will also encourage ALL brides to avoid Bridal Elegance if you want to enjoy your gown shopping a bridesmaid dress shopping experience. Danelle's provides an awesome experience and terrific customer service if you want a local bridal shop...go there! read more

We decided to visit every bridal store in Colorado Springs before deciding on a wedding dress for my daughter. The store is not very impressive from the outside and inside accommodations were not new or plush but the service we received from Kayla was top notch! The employees were all very cordial and we were attended to promptly and professionally. Although we did not purchase her dress there I would highly recommend this store. The only negative to share is that we received a gift box on arriving which contained a discount percentage coupon which could only be redeemed THAT DAY! This hard sales tactic actually cost them our business because at the last shop she felt pressured to make a decision and chose a different dress at a different store. I went to two other places but did not try any on as one of the places was extremely rude and the other was way out of budget. My mom called before heading over and they told us to come on by, I am so happy we did!! We had Be helping us and she was absolutely amazing, as was all of the staff including one of the owners. I ended up finding a dress that I loved but it was unfortunately a little out of my price range even with the discount they gave us but they did not give up! Bridal Elegance covered a major screw-up by Alfred Angelo. We had to order our bridesmaid's dresses from Virginia and thank goodness B.E. wrote our measurements on our receipt. When the dresses came in, the tops were 4-6 inches off! B.E. had us send the dresses back to them and the new corset backs were in when we arrived a few days before the wedding. Then they did the hemming and other alterations within hours for us. They were going to charge us half of the cost of fixing the mistake, but they didn't. They just charged for the alterations we would have needed to have done anyway. read more

I was in 2 weddings a few yrs. ago & had a positive experience with B.E. so we made it our 1st stop as we began gown shopping for my daughter's wedding. When we arrived at B.E. the sign on the door said, "Appointments Appreciated," which I hadn't recalled from my previous visits. No problem since we were just looking. There was an employee at the tux desk who did not acknowledge us & the bridal side was void of any life form. My daughter, her bridesmaids, & I began to look through dresses & discussed colors, fabrics, & styles, but after about 15-20 minutes my daughter asked if I thought it was ok that were were looking through the dresses. I could think of no reason it wouldn't be ok but she asked an employee anyway...when one finally surfaced. What she got was a rude shrug, as though to say, "Well, you're doing it anyway so...whatever." What a negative experience for a fun & exciting day we were so looking forward to! We left having never had a single employee ever acknowledge us. Well, unless a shrug is considered acknowledgement. No, "Hi!" No, "I'll be right with you." No, "I'm sorry we can't help you now but would you like to make an appointment?" Nothing! Summary: Don't waste your time or money on such a special event at this place. P.S. They made it so it didn't fit and when I asked them to fix it they said that would cost me more money. Was in my friend's wedding a month ago and paid for tux and deposit on credit card. They kept my deposit (as well as the rest of the groomsmens') and wont give it back to me unless I "come to the store." This was never said to me as I was checking out the tux. So they want me to drive from Minnesota to Colorado for $10. Literally every other place on earth would just credit the card that you put the deposit on. Unreal. read more

This place is the worst. Do not ever go here for any reason. My fiancee and I drove 2 hours from Boulder to go here so she could find a wedding dress. Admittedly the first appointment was pretty good...she was able to find a dress she liked. The service was passable although the salespeople were clearly not intertested in anything but selling a dress. So she ordered it and that's when the real issues started. 5 months and over $1200 bucks go buy and my fiancee makes an appointment to go pick up the dress she ordered. She talks to someone at BE on the phone and sets up and appointment for the following Sunday. That Sunday she drives 2 hours to the store and they AREN'T OPEN! The people working at Bridal Elegance do not even know their own store hours!! they told her to come on a Sunday and they are closed on Sundays! So my fiancee made a 4 hour drive (there and back) for no reason. So she came back and called them and the woman on the phone insisted it was our fault that we came on the wrong day. No apology whatsover or even owning up to their mistake. So then my fiancee doesn't want to drive 4 hours to their store again so she asks for them to ship the dress to us in Lafayette. She had to argue with them for a while to convince them to pay for the shipping!!!! This is the worst customer service I have ever heard of. So the final straw was this. 5 months ago we were at a different address (we just moved). when my fiancee asked BE to ship the dress she gave them our new address. But low and behold BE sent the dress to our old address anyways and my fiancee had to spend hours talking to Fedex to track it down before driving a half hour to our old house to bother the new tenants about the package. Finally she got the dress in hand but it was not the way she ordered it...there was an accessory on it that she specifically asked to be left out when she ordered the dress. I was there. BOTTOM LINE: WORST customer service ever, staff are morons and don't listen. Toally unacceptable for any retail establishment...especially one that sells expensive merchandise. We talked to the owner throughout this process and he was just as unhelpul as his staff...wouldn't admit mistakes and refused to work with us to resolve the issues. The girls that helped me found the perfect dress for me, and my budget within about 30 minutes, after I was put into several ugly and too expensive dresses at David's Bridal for 3 hours before walking out! The girls at this shop were so helpful and made sure I looked like a princess on my big day! They even sent me a nice card after I left their shop to wish me a happy wedding! I may be a pessimist in this particular situation, but I felt that I wasn't treated as the "normal" customer they are accustomed to at this store as soon as I stated my price range. I told the girl that I wasn't looking to spend more than $400, that I didn't like satin or white, & that I preferred tulle and beading. The first 6 dresses that SHE chose for me to try on were either white or satin. I really didn't like the idea of a woman who knows nothing about me picking out all the styles that I would be trying on. Especially considering the ones she picked out were hideous. Out of about 10 dresses she pulled for me, I only even remotely liked 1 of them (the bottom half of the dress only) & it was an outrageous price over $700 for a plain dress with no beading or design. Not to mention it wasn't even remotely the design I had described to her. I felt discriminated against in the sense that I wasn't wealthy enough to shop there and because of that the girl didn't pay much attention to detail which really felt rude in my opinion. Horrible experience and would never recommend this place to my worst enemy. Me and 3 other bridesmaid went here to purchase plain black dresses, they had the worst selection I've seen. The dresses were overpriced for the matronly looking dresses they offered. They promised they would be able to alter it to look much more modern. Every fitting for all of us was a bad experience, bad customer service, rude, and not helpful staff there. One of our bridesmaid hated the dress even more after it was altered (there was visible sticking, random beads to hide stitches, very strange cut). The store manager refused to give any type of refund so that my friend could purchase another dress from another store, although it's not my friend's fault that the seamstress ruined the alteration to an already sad looking dress. Even if she would do a partial refund would have better, instead she decides to fight and argue with my friend. SMH, horrible, horrible place. read more

The only wonderful thing that I can say about Bridal Elegance is that Ricky, the sales associate was exceptionally wonderful. He was a real sweetheart each time I came in. That being said, I was very disappointed in my overall experience with Bridal Elegance. I am an nontraditional person, and for my wedding dress found a beautiful blue dress on their sale rack. I tried it on, but the zipper wasn't working properly, so I told the original associate that I wasn't going to purchase it, due to it being a sale item and therefore 'as-is'. Well, the original associate assured me that they could exchange out the zipper and the dress would be wearable, so I went ahead and bought it, and the associate included on my receipt that the zipper was to be fixed. Well, the zipper was switched, my fittings came (went fine, with the seamstress helping me into my dress each time), and so I signed for the dress, and took it home. On my wedding day (the day after my last fitting), I went to put the dress on, and the zipper fell halfway out of my dress! My grandmother (also a seamstress) came to help me, and said the zipper wasn't sewn into half of the dress, and wasn't bound into the dress at the zipper bottom! The teeth of the zipper couldn't be realigned because it wasn't bound in, and the entire zipper system literally fell apart as she would try to re-zip the dress. Due to the design of the dress, I couldn't be sewn into my dress, safety pin it or anything to be able to redeem it enough to wear. I had to wear my mother's dress to walk down the aisle. I called Bridal Elegance and was told, "Sorry, your event has already passed, and you signed for the dress saying that it was in working order when you left the shop, so there is nothing we can do about it." I realize now that each time I had put the dress on prior to the wedding, it was their staff who 'helped' zip me up, and so I never really had a chance to look at the zipper. Additionally, I'm NOT a seamstress, had a reasonable expectation that the work was done properly, and probably wouldn't have known that it was supposed to be bound at the bottom of the zipper. I understand that I don't have legal recourse to this, due to it being sold 'as-is', but it was seriously disappointing that due to their error at either not putting the zipper in correctly, or else not having replaced it at all that I wasn't able to wear my wedding dress. I will never go here again! I bought a wedding dress from here paid cash up front. I needed to get some alterations done. When I brought the dress home it did not set right on my body, everything felt loose and made the dress look sloppy! I went back into get it looked at and the consultant who sold me the dress seemed annoyed that she had to put me into the dress. When the seamstress came out she made me feel that I was stupid and I didn't know what I was talking about. We were also told that we would get $50.00 off a tuxedo rental. Well $100 tuxedo rental turned into a $175 tuxedo rental and that's including the $50.00 off. This place takes your money and does a crappy job on alterations and tries to charge $100 to get 3 inches hemmed off my dress. Anyone who is looking for a wedding dress please don't go here. I made an appointment to try dresses on, and was greeted upon arrival. Once I mentioned my budget I was informed they had very little that I could try on but they would assist me. There were 6 dressing rooms, and 3 mirrors and they were very busy. My guests (2) had to sit in the middle of two other parties and could not hear what the sales woman was saying to me regarding the dresses. Any feedback my guests gave was rudely perceived by the lady assisting me. I felt very rushed and there is definitely not much of a selection below $1000. read more

My daughter, fiancee and I went in to look at tuxedos for their wedding. They have a nice selection at reasonable prices. We shopped at four other places prior to visiting Bridal Elegance / Gentlemen's Choice Tuxedos. The main selling point for us was the excellent customer service that we received from Shannon. She gave us her full attention and assistance until we were able to make our selections despite us being there when they were busy. She paid attention to each detail and explained everything we needed to know fully. If you are frustrated and tired of dealing with poor customer service, look no further. My daughter is off to "happily ever after" and I wanted to share my experience with others. I am so glad that we chose Terry with Bridal Elegance. It was a huge relief off my shoulders to have her on our wedding team. From the wedding gown, veil, bridesmaids, tuxedos and table linens and chair covers. I especially appreciated how she was able to give us referrals to other wedding professional for services that she didn't personally handle. She was able to handle so many things for us and it was awesome to deal with just one store for so many wedding details.
