HOORAY for cool new Tulsa places! As someone who lives on Brookside, I was so hype to test this place out, and it greatly surpassed my expectations! I've been in twice in the past week just because I was craving more after my first try. Drinks, you ask? They have a full bar with your typical stock as well as a great selection of local beer (from Oklahoma and surrounding states) as well as their own brews! And the food? WOWZA. Talk about huge portions, especially on the appetizers. Everything we have tried in our two visits has been great. We've had the Bavarian Pretzel Sticks to start both times, and we've tried the Chicken Fried Chicken, BLT Sliders, Chili, Bricktown Club, Chicken Tenders, Boom Boom Shrimp, and the Chicken Wings, and it was ALL great! The service was also fantastic - hosts and hostesses were very pleasant each time, and our waitresses kept our glasses full and the food coming quick. It's not common that I can't find a single thing to rate positively about a restaurant but for this place I can't say one good thing about it. The food was bad. My burger was over salted and burnt on the outside ( still pink inside which I did ask for). My drink was gross. The service was slow and they weren't even busy. The server was not very attentive. It's a brewery that brews their own beer and the beers were sub par. We ordered food to go and when we got home one of the meals was missing. When we called the restaurant for some sort of compensation their reply was "well, you already paid for the food". My husband then had to drive all the way back to the restaurant for the salad that was missing. The salad itself was not worth the drive back. This place was a complete disappointment. Came here about a week ago with my boyfriend, we quickly got sat but even with no crowd and multiple servers, nobody came to our table for 15 minutes. As I was looking at my phone to pick out another restaurant to go to, our server finally came. We both got waters and ordered our food, which was actually pretty good and got to our table quickly, but the server never came back around until it was time to get our check. This meant no refills on water, which we needed. Yes - I'm sure I could have flagged someone down, but I shouldn't have to do that. Overall, the food was good, but I won't be coming back just due to the service. I counted multiple servers throughout the restaurant who seemed to be doing nothing during the time I spent waiting after getting sat and while we needed refills. I've worked in restaurants on and off for 6 years, so I don't understand how servers expect to get tipped well or have returning customers if their service is subpar. I used to love this place but in July of 2021, all the popular menu items were taken off the menu. Green Chili Chicken Sandwich and Green Chili Quesadillas to name a couple. And, I was told it wasn't because of Covid, but because the chef decided remove the most popular items and replace them with other things to see how they would be liked. Why in the world would you replace the items people love? I settled for soup and salad with ranch. The ranch was like water. We won't be back for a while. One of the girls poked a hole in their water and Katy came right over with towels to clean it up. She was very kind! Nachos come out on a huge tray but should really just be called chips with some dip, cause 60% of the chips have nothing on them. Servers seem like they hate their jobs. The greens had a bitter taste and when I looked at some they were so freezer burned the green ones were completely clear... also the greens and lettuce looked like it was chopped a week ago with yellow and red around the corners of it and black. I really liked the pizza macaroni and cheese I had this last visit- I'm pregnant and apparently only want carbs! We also had sweet potatoe fries that i wish I could have everyday! FOOD: I got the Hatch Green Chili Burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was average at best. The fries were delicious, though. SERVICE: The waitress was friendly enough, but not notable. She seemed busy. BUILDING: My only complaint is that it was top loud. I was sitting about 18 inches from my partner and I could barely hear him. Everything else was about what I would expect. The food is always good and the service always friendly from the team-oriented waitstaff and managers checking in to make sure our little kitchen mistake (cheese on the kids' sliders) was resolved promptly. The best choices on their menu are the gigantic table-sized loaded nachosaurs or their power salad with quinoa, blueberries, and grilled chicken. Wash either of those down with their bluesberry brew (or a flight of their home brews) and you're good to go! Bricktown was the perfect late night dinner after a hockey game. The decor is fabulous, the bathrooms are urban chic, and they even have a smoking room for events. The food is phenomenal; did you know that you need sweet potato fries with sea salt and peppered bacon? Because you do! Okay so the food was good, but not great, I think there are some other things that could be improved upon. 1. Pretzels--these are great but the cheese they come out with is grainy and not homogeneous. Ask for mustard. 2. Nachos--these were good, but should be prepared in layers. The top layer had all the goody and the rest was just chips. The chips are nice 'n thin though. 3. Chicken fingers--my husband got these and thought they were great 4. Service was poor. Seriously, this has to get stepped up. It was 2 pm on a Sunday and the service was still bad. 5. Chairs at the tables are tiny. I am not the skinniest human around and I do have wide hips, but I'd say I'm average. These should be replaced with more comfy chairs. After a while I didn't notice it but the metal sides were uncomfortable for about 10 minutes. 6. The front door is confusing, perhaps put a sign on the side door that the front entrance is on Peoria--that would help. I was rather lost when I walked in. We had dinner here last night and was excited to see what this was all about. We went about 5ish and got sat immediately. We were seated at a table, which normally isn't an issue, but I will say the chairs were very uncomfortable.(The red chairs aren't made for people with junk in the trunk) They allowed us to move to an open booth, which was great. This was the perfect ratio of bun to meat, which is a problem with some burgers) Fish and Chips (They were good. Large pieces of fish, fried perfectly) Side of Sweet potato fries and the chips (The fries were ok. I prefer Mcnellies flavor but liked the crunchiness of these. The chips were good as well) We had a great experience there. Everyone was moving and making sure all table were taken care of. We never had an empty drink (If you have experienced having to wait for a drink, you understand how great this is!) I recommend to check this place out. Why is there an OKC 405 themed restaurant called Bricktown Brewery in Tulsa? Why isn't it called Brookside Brewery? Why don't their signs have 918 on them? Most of the beer isn't local. It's brewed in OKC or Krebs. Their house beer isn't brewed in house. It's a Leon's 2.0 with an OKC name. Nachos were soggy and toppings were only on top, not mixed in. I was a fan of the previous sports bar at this location but I think that Bricktown has outdone it's previous occupant. The food is big step up, also, the set up of the place is much better. I wish they would have named the location Brookside Brewery instead of Bricktown Brewery (OKC location) to go with being on Brookside but oh well. Would not recommend eating here if you are a person of color. We were in Tulsa from out of town and we arrived at the location and were told it would be a 20 minute wait and that they would text us when our table was ready. After waiting for about 55 minutes, my husband went in to check how much longer the wait would be and the hostess told him she "thought she signed us in." Once we were finally seated we had our drink & appetizer order taken. We had 2 kids soft drinks, a lemonade, water, a beer, and the dip trio with bottomless chips. After finishing the first round of chips I noticed all of the people around us were getting refills before theirs even finished. My husband flagged down the waiter to get us more chips & that was then brought out with the rest of our food as well as a side order of mashed potatoes that we did not order. We ate our food & not once got checked on. Everyone around us kept getting checked on regularly, we never got our drinks refilled and we didn't get silverware or napkins until we took some from an empty table next to us. YUM! This place was great! After a long day of driving on our road trip from Colorado to Mississippi, we stopped in Tulsa for the night. We were hungry and grumpy and looking for decent food and a good local brew. We found both! The chopped and chipped nachos were amazing, and their wings "sissy" sauce is NOT for sissies! I had a local dunkel bier that was wonderful, and my hubby loved the OK Pils. I'm a little sad that we're just passing thru, because if we lived here, we would come here often! If you are anywhere close to this spot, COME!! My kids and parents and I are here on our last day of a family trip and all of us were so impressed! The staff was super friendly and helpful! The menu is amazing! The food is incredible. We were all thinking that this place should be featured Food Network because of the unique recipes and amazing staff. We had the salted Carmel sweet potato fries and the Fig and goat cheese appetizers. WOW! Everyone loved their entrees and the beer was great too! Can't say enough good about it! We had lunch today at Bricktown Brewery for the soft opening and loved it! The host team was very friendly, the food was great, and our server was attentive. Here's what we ordered: Biscuits (appetizer - awesome) Pepperoni Pizza (a bit too greasy, but delicious) One cheeseburger (there was a lot of cheese so it was melting down the side of the burger - yum!) One burger (excellent - cooked just right) Overall, we had a great experience! This is also a great place to watch football - there were TVs all over the restaurant, and it looked like the bar had a lot of local/craft beers.
