Staff is poorly trained and very inattentive, our server never gave her name , the portion size is nice and most of the food is done properly, it's overpriced to be fair, though. It's a step up from Waffle House and Ihop. The service is the real issue, it was absolutely awful, none of the servers seemed to be team players and I had to ask numerous times for utensils after my unused utensils were bussed for some reason. My drink was refilled once within a one hour course and there were several waitresses who seemed very out of touch with their work environment( talking, texting, etc.) There are at least 5 places in Mobile similar as far as price and menu that have EXTREMELY better service, and staff. The food was ok in my opinion. Been to other brunch places that have been better. We ordered the killer omelette and chicken Florentine and some pancakes buttt we didn't even get our pancakes. when I told the waitress that we didn't receive them, all she said was "aww" and didn't bother to fix it . we also had to bring our checks to checkout. Per waitress , she said that they were working on a new Reese's pancakes and said "sorry you couldn't try them". Only 2 stars because while the food is great, it's a little expensive, plus the place is too tiny and loud. There is always a really long line to get in, which speaks highly for the menu I guess! Five stars for sure. Omg, the bloody Mary's are out of this world. This place has a great brunch menu as well as a superb drink selection from build your own bloody Mary's to flavored mimosas. Came for brunch this morning I got the breakfast tacos. I didn't think I would like the sour cream and mango salsa with the eggs but surprisingly it was good! My husband got a burger and loved it someone else with us got one of the seafood omelettes he rated it 10 out of 10. Our waitress was good she forgot my mimosa I waited maybe 20 minutes for it which was really not that big of a deal I wanted it with my meal anyways but when she brought it to me she had already taken it off the check which was awesome! Ambiance is good. Food is not. I probably should have said something at the time. A man did come by and ask if it was good, so I should have been honest. The Beignets were good. Husband got the bayou omelet. It was okay. Shrimp were small and the sauce on top was bland. Eggs were over cooked, almost burnt. I got the Benedict. It was not good at all. The egg yolk tasted bad, like rotten bad. The ham was overlooked. The Hollandaise was bland except for the cracked black pepper on top which was overpowering instead of like a garnish. Awesome place. We had a couple of the omelets and they were both great. We were there on a weekday late in the morning so it wasn't too busy. Unfortunately I had to work that day because I wanted to try one of the bloody Mary's. They look amazing. Seems like it would be a fun weekend brunch spot. After walking in on a Monday morning the restaurant was not packed at all, my party and I went to the bar table instead of the bar. The waitress (Jennifer) felt the need to tell us that in every restaurant the bar is only seated around the bar! Not true there are plenty of restaurants where the bar tables are considered a part of the bar! Anyways the banana's in pajamas was delicious I would only recommend if you really like bananas because there are big pieces of them inside. I started with the shrimp and tasso mac & cheese, which came from the kitchen cold! It was ok but I obviously didn't know that Tasso was pork and I don't eat pork so I had to send that dish back to the kitchen. I proceeded to order the French toast with strawberry topping and whip cream which came out of the kitchen "hot" and was delicious! The side of scrambled eggs were superb! We're here with my family for breakfast during a recent trip to Mobile. Service was excellent, and the food was also excellent. What I like most of us just the fact that you could get unique items that actually tasted really good. I would also say that the portions were very generous, in fact my family and I also have it the next time we come we will probably share meals. The prices are not the lowest, but I don't think they're out of line, still decent value. I would recommend anyone try this place. read more

I went to Brick & Spoon for brunch after graduation, the place looked really nice and they had amazing service. The owner even came out to check on the tables. I had the Trucker's Breakfast, which I recommend sharing, but it was absolutely amazing. We got beignets for the table which comes with these amazing strawberry sauce. My best friend & I enjoyed a great brunch here in Sunday. They were on a wait, so we asked about the bar, the hostess said it was first come first serve. Went for lunch today with a friend. The food was decent but my friend's sandwich was missing several items that were listed on the menu. She reported it to the waitress who shrugged and said she would have to "remind" the kitchen. No apology or offer to even bring the items. Very poor training for wait staff. Do not miss your chance to eat here! One of the best breakfasts of my 67 years. No way you can have a boring meal here. My husband and I tried as many different dishes as we could manage, and everything was perfect. We shared the bruschetta starter; I was doubtful until I put it in my mouth-- delicious. We shared their more traditional American breakfast of 2 eggs and sides; the bacon was absolutely perfect-- great flavor, crunchy texture and not greasy. While 100% of Americans are not familiar with grits--these are the best I have ever tasted, and I have eaten grits throughout the U.S., and of course while growing up in the South. The coffee is marvelous--and move over Starbucks, they got you beat on variety of coffee drinks available AND added customize your own Bloody Mary. We shared a pineapple mimosa. We could not pass up the opportunity to finish our true brunch with beignets; 4 in the one serving was perfectly delicious and perfectly sized to share. Sadly, we live and Missouri and I won't be able to fulfill my gastronomic desire to be a regular here except in my dreams.
