Mercado de Pulgas is most definitely for those with a special knack for turning something old and more traditional looking into a modern gem (not me!). Most items won't be modern on their own! You may need to get to Easy to get some extra supplies to spice things up a little. For us non-creative types, come armed with pinterest inspiration or your favorite DIY website shopping list. Also, definitely don't go with something very specific in mind because you probably won't find it.
