As others have pointed out, the school has many shortcomings that need to be addressed. The food is less than stellar, the residence halls need updating, and just all around modernization is needed. However, the people here are some of the greatest people I have ever met. Being a small school, I know each of my professors personally. Most all of them have accomplished amazing things in their lives and have a passion for passing on what they know to their students. Despite the cafe food being subpar, the servers and cooks are extremely caring and friendly. They greet you with a smile and happily serve you 3 meals a day. The student counselors are great at getting you in classes you need to graduate in 4 years and are also very friendly. As for Sioux City, while it may not be the largest it certainly has everything you may need from restaurants, movies, parks, sledding, music, live theater, and more. Briar Cliff is also dedicated to its Franciscan Catholic Faith. I am not a Catholic, but as a non-denominational Christian it is still nice to be around a Christ centered program. Bible studies with the school Minister are extremely informative and even fun and the annual Antioch retreat is a blast. In response to the person that said the nursing program was bad, it was actually rated one of the top nursing programs in the NAIA. Overall great school with great people and faculty, a few things need improvement but overall great! read more
