I had heard good things about this business but maybe that was just because they don't have much…read morecompetition. I found out about them at a wedding fair, where I took a flyer that listed various discounts. The first problem I encountered was that the quote I was given didn't include the advertised special prices. In fact, I had to fight to get the discounts. I should have known then not to trust them. But I loved the artificial willow trees I had seen in the flyer. Each tree was constructed of a trunk wrapped in black fabric, with thick curly willow branches spray painted black and attached at the top. the one they had in their studio was 14 feet tall but they promised that they would have six 8-foot trees ready for my wedding. The trees (and their descriptions) were put into our contract and it was one of the tings I was most excited about. At our wedding, however, they brought large vases containing a few curly willow sprigs. They looked nothing like what they had shown me and our reception looked very sparse. I was too busy that day to address the issue and we left right away for our honeymoon. We got no monetary compensation for the poor substitution they gave us and never received an apology or explanation. I was very disappointed with their dishonesty and lack of customer service. Don't hire these people for your wedding.

But my mother wanted a slightly more elaborate wedding than I would have planned, and I was in an unfamiliar city, and having trouble finding resources. She helped me pull the wedding together in two months, with a very satisfactory price tag in the end. Now I think that if you can find a good wedding planner to work with, nearly every wedding should have a wedding planner. After all it's a fairly complicated event, with so many things that can go wrong; and by definition the couple planning the wedding usually have little experience with planning weddings. First, Angela is an enthusiastic, down to earth, sensible, real person. I got the impression from other interviews I did that among event planners, these are valuable and somewhat uncommon traits. Still, of course, she's got that glamorous side. She's amazingly effective, with a great sense of style of her own, and also very able to work with your style. She's well connected and excellent at digging up new resources, including those with good prices. She takes your budget seriously, and with her ability to comparison shop you get more bang for your buck. I really do believe that the money she saved us paid for her fee, and of course her help went far beyond resource and bargain-finding. Absolutely worth it. My only complaint was that she was stretching herself a little thin. I would have rather paid more, and gotten more of her undiluted focus and energy. But that was in retrospect--of course when we first hired her we were skeptical of the whole thing, and her affordable fee was reassuring. Also if you can hire your wedding planner further in advance of your wedding than we did, I'm sure that would make everything smoother! Our wedding was a fantastic, fun experience--not everyone can say that--and it was in large part thanks to Angela.

Oh my gosh, we were out this way, without much breakfast had, so looking for brunch-ish? Ronny's was outstanding! We missed the lunch rush I think, more were leaving than coming in, but I'd say they do a good lunch, or people wouldn't be there. Did I mention they are out of the way a bit? Don't let that deter you, go there, and you'll be like us, will find a way to decide, we need to go to Maple Ridge! I love the interior with a splash of Italia, but decor is full of understanding what the purpose is. It's about feeding people in the traditional sense. You can eat in, take away ready, or take it home warm it up and feed your family. How refreshing it is for us that love the old world mindset. K's Chef's Special with fries was so good. The fries remained hot until the last one was devoured, how do they do that? She ate half the sandwich and had to box the other half. My borscht side with my Turkey BL sandwich was so good I also brought a half sandwich home. I could have finished it, but we would have had to stop for a nap prior to getting all the way home. This might surprise those that have read this far, but we are going back for sure, and you should find a reason to do the same.
