But this visit was a completely different experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly and welcoming. The doctor actually took time to talk with me, listen, and get to know my concerns instead of rushing through the appointment. It didn't feel transactional--it felt like someone genuinely wanted to help. I left feeling heard, understood, and more informed than I ever have about my foot issues. I was pleasantly surprised, and very thankful I made the switch. If you're looking for a podiatrist who treats you like a person, not just a quick appointment slot, I'd highly recommend giving them a try.

Researching podiatrist online, Dr. Carollo's reviews were absolutely stellar, so I decided to give her a try, hoping the reviews weren't too good to be true. They absolutely weren't! Dr. Carollo is such a genuinely kind and attentive doctor. She really listened to what I was experiencing with my foot and gave me several non-invasive options to try to heal an inflamed nerve. I'm happy to report after following her recommendation and getting custom orthotics the nerve has finally healed and feels back to normal. And as an added benefit the orthotics have helped some other foot and ankle fatigue I previously experienced after working out. A win-win! Also, as a side note, the classic music in the examine rooms adds such a calming atmosphere while you're waiting. Highly recommended!! The world needs more medical providers like Dr. Carollo!!

I also was prescribed a a liquid antibiotic medication by by my dermatologist. That didn't work either. I decided it was time to see a foot doctor. Dr. Patouhas treated me and prescribed a natural liquid to paint on for a month. It was clearing right up. On my second visit she prescribed another natural liquid to use as well as the first one. I am extremely happy to report that I'm totally healed! And it only took a few months. The medication was not too expensive either. Just in time for Spring and Summer. I missed getting my pedicures Yay!

She sought out a new practice and that's how we landed here. I was impressed with the large waiting room and the selection of diabetic shoes on display. There's plenty of seating with a TV mounted on the wall and enough magazines for everyone. Although in today's world, it seems like most people are always being entertained on their cell phones. The check in process on the tablet took quite a bit of time to complete and I'm used to filling in the information for her at other physician's offices. I guess that's a good thing though, because they're very thorough with the health questions. Her appointment was with Dr. Rogers. I had the opportunity to meet him in the exam room while I assisted my mom with explaining her ongoing problems and helping her decide on the best treatment option. He was very patient and kind and explained each option so she fully understood. He performed the procedure and she was good to go. She's now recovering and isn't in pain anymore. She's very happy she made the switch and wishes she had made the decision to seek out a new practice months ago. There are 6 podiatrists that practice here so that's a plus that she liked. They also have locations in Shelby Township, Rochester, Chesterfield, Clinton Township, East China Township and Fort Gratiot. That's another plus for their patients. June 30, 2023 - Friday…read more Review #437 Last year in the Fall of 2022, my previous podiatrist from Associated Orthopedics of Detroit left the practice and he wasn't replaced. In March while working 8 hours a day on my feet, the joint pain came back especially painful at night. I was referred by my family Dr. Kavanagh in April to see a new podiatrist named Dr. Anthony Giordano. He has over 25 years experience in the medical field and is accepting new patients. My appointment was on June 14th. We chatted about my foot history, and he read over my medical forms that I completed in advance online. He went over my ex-rays and examined the joints in my toes. His answer and conclusion is that I have Arthritis starting. So I can say thank you to my Dear Mother. :-) Instead of a cortisone shot as in the past 3 years with my health issue he suggested a new type of injection treatment which is 3 weeks apart. It will slow down the wear and tear known as osteoarthritis and help replenish the joint. The fluid injection is called hyaluronic acid to provide a space filler to increase joint mobility reduce joint inflammation and help my big toe and feel better with less stiffness. So on June 14, 2023 I received it and I can say the pain is not as bad and tolerable and 2 more shots to go in 3 weeks. I will "keep it moving" by riding my bike or walking in which the pain does subside. My 2nd shot in the right foot joint area will be on July 11th, So - Oh Thank Heaven for 7-11 Slurpee Day. He informed Me that I will NOT need surgery since the bones are profound and no misalignment as seen on the ex-rays, just unhappy nerves. He has a Wonderful sense of humor which makes me laugh. The office is very welcoming and located on the 2nd floor of the Shelby Medical Mall on 50505 Schoenherr Rd. Shelby Township. (586) 580-3728 Hours: Monday - Thursday 9 AM - 5 PM Friday 9 AM - 12 PM Saturday and Sunday Closed I certainly will say that I am pleased to call Dr. Anthony Giordano my new Podiatrist. He has shown his caring and knowledge with a new treatment to try and help assist Me for walking in a correct, pain-free and happy direction! :-) Karen N. SpecialK
