First off Dayton charged me a lot less than other attorneys and took payments, something NO ONE…read moreelse would even consider. He was able to get me a good deal on a bogus charge. My only complaints are that when i was offered the plea deal I was told I would have to go to an assessment. I inquired if this assessment was just an easy one time thing or was it day reporting. I was told it was a one time thing but it was day reporting. The people in day reporting told me this confusion happens all the time. Second was after my probation was up I had to go to one last hearing. I was under the impression my probation was over 4 months ago and told this was just a formality. I was not told that I would still be subject to one last assessment that resulted in my plea deal being revoked. This was the prosecutor just being petty. Dayton was still able to talk them down to throwing out one of my charges but if I would have been made fully aware of the nature of this last hearing it would have gone very different. It was a lack of communication. I still appreciate everything he was able to do for me and hopefully clients in the future will be made aware of the nature of the assessment and the last hearing. Just make sure you ask about anything you are not clear about. he is easy to get in contact with and always available. He does return phone calls.

I signed the paperwork, sent it back, then he never returned any of my calls. There wasn't a spat, a bad conversation, or anything of the like. I left messages over the course of few weeks and months with his assistant, Darren. He never answered my calls again. I was flabbergasted and sad that he wasted my time. I don't understand why he didn't have the professional courtesy to follow-up with me. Very disappointing. I was looking forward to working with him. He recently did the same thing to a friend of mine, minus the contract. I truly hope he improves on his follow-up and follow-through.
