I've seen her for about 5 years on and off, most often when I'm training for some kind of race. She keeps my back and body lined up and corrects things after a particularly long run. I thoroughly trust and respect the whole office. My wife and infant daughter have also enjoyed receiving care from Dr. Parsons. Every time I go in she asks about my family and remembers what's been going on in my life. Candice is one of the amazing women who works the front desk and assists with prepping you for your visit. I've been to many other medical offices in town and nowhere are the assistants as enjoyable and competent as the staff here. SLO Chiropractic Center is professional while also feeling down to earth and approachable. I always feel respected and listened to by the Dr. Parsons and the office staff. They have worked with me when I've had issues with my insurance and have patiently waited while things were sorted out. Some other places in town may give you just as good of chiropractic care, but I doubt you'll find the combination of such warmth and hospitality with solid medical practices.

Heather was helpful in taking info to verify my claim for them to bill but then she never called me back (it's been a couple weeks now) so I gave up and went to Dr. Becker who I am very happy with. I have been to many chiropractors, I imagine the doctor himself could be very talented but these over-staffed types of offices tend to run a lot of patients through. If you have insurance paying then you probably don't care about the cost. If you are out-of-pocket like me then you might want to find a smaller office that can give more individual attention. Again, the doc might be great but with the lack of callback, I wasn't happy with the customer service. Another employee there got snippy with me when I simply tried to leave my insurance person a voicemail about the billing, I called from inside the office when there were no other patients there and was ordered out of the office. I was not speaking any louder than their staff when they are on the phone.

I had been suffering from daily headaches that left my face feeling numb and my neck extremely stiff for two years. My primary doctor found nothing wrong. I sought relief with massages and spent hundreds of dollars trying to get relief. I had to try something new. However, I have extreme anxiety when it comes to meeting with doctors and was terrified to set up a consultation here. Clearly I did and it changed the quality of life. Within one visit my headaches became less frequent. I've had about 15 adjustments now and have been headache free. Setting up the appointment was easy and the next step was to fill out an online questionnaire about my health history and pain. This was the most in-depth review I have seen from a healthcare provider and it was clear that the information was reviewed and taken in to consideration by Dr. Stevens as he laid out my treatment. I was pleased to discover that visual and physical tools are used to figure out what's going on. The X-ray (in office) showed my spine was crooked and my neck was messed up. Finally, a reason I felt awful all of the time! Before the adjustment I needed reassurance that Dr. Stevens wasn't going to twist my body or break my neck. I was assured by him and his staff who were patient and gentle with my anxiety. The adjustment takes place on a table that seems to eliminate the need to do manual manipulation (at least for me). It's fast, too! The table takes longer to lower than it does to be adjusted. It's great! I have also never waited more than 3 minutes to be seen. This place is efficient and I frequently started my lunch breaks with an adjustment with plenty of time to spare. Dr. Stevens is patient and really aims to make sure his patient understands why there's an issue and how it'll be treated. The ladies on his staff are as equally fantastic. My emails are returned immediately and appointments are always accommodated. They even accommodated me when I was going to arrive after they closed because I was coming from out of town. As a patient I feel valued and cared for. Obviously I can't say enough about Life Chiropractic.
