Parking is not the best. After driving through the huge parking facility directly across the…read morestreet. I had to exit the garage and use Valet service out front the building. Once I got to the receptionist sign in desk. I was promptly welcomed and checked in with no problems. It was one of the quickest Dr office check in I think I ever had as a first time visitor. Got my vitals checked and waited for the Neurologist to come to my room. This took approximately 10 mind. Not bad at all. And the in depth talk we had about my TIA event was very good. She listened to everything and asked additional questions of my situation to understand clearly what I went through before giving ideas of what we should try . When I was in the hospital in Nov. No one could give me a clear understanding of what my body was going through, and that was the same for seeing my primary doctor. So for the first time I feel like I have a understanding of what happens to the body before a stroke. Of course there's no scientific facts they can tell me. But to have a understanding alone is helpful. I'm glad I chose this place

While this Hospital may have very good doctors the neurology department at 10 Plum Street in my…read moreexperience is sorely lacking in terms of its professionalism and sensitivity to medical information. My HIPAA protected medical information was treated with no regard by the administrative staff and the physician assistant who actually took it from me ( specifically CDs of MRIs from previous hospitals). I was advised that my medical records would be mailed to me with the presumption that my medical information would be handled with sensitivity . Instead, beyond completely neglecting to return my CDs .. (after a month and a half they were never returned to me) ,they advised me they would send it out regular mail. I have to ask rhetorically who would handle such sensitive information with such carelessness and disregard? After several phone calls and emails I was completely ignored and then when I went to speak to the Patient Experience Department in RWJ they did nothing to facilitate the return of my CDs. Instead I received phone calls from people who did not identify themselves or their position claiming that they was sent out when they weren't without any tracking information and no idea where my CDs actually went. If you want a good doctor go elsewhere. The staff is poorly trained and clearly has no customer service skills or knowledge how to handle HIPAA of protected medical information. Even when I emailed the neuro- surgeon to see where my CDs were , I was ignored. Completely unprofessional group of people. Someone is clearly not paying attention to things in this facility.

There have been no consequences or side effects. She is personable and delightful as well. Actually I showed her another issue I was having which she diagnosed immediately and I was able to get care the same day with a professional that treats the issue I was experiencing. On another matter: Her office staff called me twice to make sure I received the result of an mri I had. Dr. Iones followed up to make sure that I was seeing a doctor for an issue that appeared on the mri. I highly recommend Dr. Iones if you need a neurologist as I have been to three others over the years and none compare on any level.

She was extremely patient and she took the time to listen and understood all that was going on with me. She explained everything that was being recommended, and the reason for it, and every bit of it made sense. Her staff is wonderful, from the receptionists, to the folks that conducted the on-site testing. I am so happy that I found her. Now, I am very confident that my on-going health issues will be properly identified and treated. Thank you, Dr Iones!

I can not begin to tell you how grateful I am for Dr. Scopelliti and his fabulous team manager…read moreDebbie. My father was recommended by his primary physician to see a neurologist due to the unusual appearance of his hand. I happened to be visiting for the week, and it was very frustrating for me that every office he was referred to did not have any appointments for two months. I spoke to his chiropractor, who is a family friend, and he stressed the fact that waiting two months was not acceptable. My father is hard of hearing, and not really savvy on social media. Since YELP is my go to for everything, I decided to research other offices and see if I could find him an appointment much sooner. Being in the dental industry, it is very important for me to read credentials and reviews from patients. I was very impressed with Dr. Scopelliti's back ground, so with fingers crossed, I made the call. Ladies and gentlemen, I felt like I was reaching out to an old friend. Debbie was so kind and understanding! Having an aging parent can be very challenging, but she was very patient as my dad chimed in his two cents from the background. She was able to get my father an appointment in four days. We chatted for a bit about what it is like to be a patient provider. She told me about the doctor, and the one on one experience he provides. I sent her dad's insurance information, and she was kind enough to reach out within the hour to explain about his patient portion. I was really looking forward to meeting the team, but circumstances came up and I sent my mom. I wanted her to be able to understand what the Dr. was diagnosing, and due to HIPPA regulations, I wanted her to be able to have future discussions if need be. When they came home, Dad gave rave reviews about Dr. S. He treated him for a full hour, had strict Covid guidelines, and dad had a better understanding about what was happening to his body. I am so very thankful for these people. In this time of uncertainty, you think the worst outcome possible. Dad was convinced he had one foot in the grave, and was discussing his burial wishes. I told him only the good die young, and he has plenty of years left! We have a little work to do to get him on the mend, but thanks to Dr. S and his extremely thorough exam....there will be many more visits with my family. If you are looking for a knowledge neurologist, look no further. This practice went above and beyond! Heartfelt thanks to both Debbie and Dr. Scopelliti! Beth Soncrant
