Jake Roberts rents old and outdated equipment he inherited from his mother Mary and his father Brett who started the rental business in 1984. They are now retired and live in Naples FL. My experience is a bad one. The business is run by repairs with bandaids. My experience is most of Jake's inventory of equipment is old and in need of replacement. He is just hanging on as long as possible by sending out worn out things until he retires himself. The land where the shop sits is more valuable than the company itself. I used a Yard Goat field mower. It broke down in the field after a few hours of use and I had to return it early. I rented a red wood chipper and half way through the job a wire snapped and I had to haul it back to have a kid reconnect the failed part. I rented some scaffolding and the clerk misunderstood my order and I had pieces I didn't need but still had to pay for it. I rented a Nifty 34 lift and the electronics gave out after a day. The diesel motor would not turn off annoying my neighbors with the noise on Christmas Day until the tank ran dry. Jake, the owner, couldn't give a crap about properly servicing his equipment or the customers who have come there. His Contract releases them of any obligations. Lesson learned... this old clunky Mom and Pop charges more than other large national outfits and provides old outdated and poor equipment. I highly doubt anything will improve here. Jake will eventually retire and I doubt anyone would want to buy his worn out crap. Do us a favor Jake, send your equipment to the scrap heap for scrap metal value, sell your land, and retire to Florida already like your Mom and Dad. read more

Recently hosted a small party at my house. Shopped around for table and chair rentals, was thoroughly disappointed with the high prices in the Hartford area, so I called Bremar. They were about half the price! I rented 3 round tables, 10 chairs, and 3 linens for ~$90. I opted to pick up the goods because I was in Canton for work, so it was convenient. From start to finish, the customer service provided was friendly and professional. Amy, who I booked the reservation with was so great- when I told her my color theme for the party, she recommended turquoise linens, and they were spot on. The young men who processed my order and loaded the equipment into my car were great. Bremar has a wide variety of equipment for rent- tables, linens, chairs, tents, popcorn machines, landscaping equipment... seemed almost like "you need it they have it" type of place. We had a great experience renting a tent, tables, chairs and table linens for a 50 person birthday party. Process was super easy and the quality of the product was excellent - tablecloths were like new. Party day was going to be rainy and cold, so we added a tent heater to the rental, sort of at the last minute. They were so accommodating and the tent heater made the party so much better! We would highly recommend working with Bremar!! read more

Disappointed in my last rental from Bremar. Rented equipment for a lobster and steak party at our home. They were great with coming and setting up the tent, tables, etc. I was very disappointed to find that my final bill was $80. more than what was quoted. I was incorrectly quoted the rental cost of a fan. I feel Bremar should have honored the cost I was quoted. They did not revise the cost charged to my charge card when I went to the store and they have not responded to my formal complaint that I sent ont their web site requesting feedback on the rental. After reading my review on Yelp, Bemar sent me an email that they refunded the total cost of the fan because of the mis-quoted information. I appreciate the follow up and have ammended my star rating from 2 to 4 stars read more

I just moved into a home that was occupied by two untrained bull dogs. The carpet is ruined. I rented a carpet cleaner from Bremar. The staff gave great instructions and some tips on how to handle the heavily soiled areas. It was easy to do and the carpet looks perfect! All the spots and the smell are gone. read more

The staff are fantastic! I have rented a couplue of things from them at different times, never have i had a bad experience, i rented a portable dance floor from them and they went through setup by actually having me put pieces together in the parking lot to make sure i knew how to do it. Rented a chainsaw from them as well and it was in graet running shape although it was smaller than i had asked over the phone, but i didnt ask to reserve the larger saw so it wasnt their fault, they still gave me a discount on the chain because of the inconvienence.
