Alright yall.. my lease ended last month so i can FINALLY give a proper warning. DO NOT rent here. I can't even begin to list what we went through as tenants for the last 2.5 years here. Management is beyond terrible. Maintenance man is WONDERFUL but any outside service they call in is a wild card (leaving doors unlocked, coming in unannounced, etc). And god forbid you need to speak with a human from the office. We stopped into the clubhouse so many times for so many reasons and these weirdos would lock themselves in the office and refused to speak to us. We moved into a unit that clearly hadn't been inspected prior, and the ceiling caved in. We were moved to a different unit and given the weekend to move, but they gave us the new lease at 5pm Friday night. If we didn't sign, we didn't get the code, but there were so many errors on the lease. We were assured that these would be amended at a later date but we needed to sign, so we did (stupid us). This is how they coerced us into a brand new 18 month lease instead of a simple transfer. THEN my besties moved into a different unit and a huge fire broke out December 2024 (you can google this). The fire alarms did not work, and it was a couple in the parking lot that alerted everyone to evacuate. My friends moved in w us for a solid 2 months before any communication happened between those affected tenants and management. They broke their lease and got tf out. These guys SUCK. Moldy filthy irresponsible. Don't rent here, unless you like unnecessary headaches of irresponsible management, nonexistent management, paying for things that the complex doesn't actually provide...stay away from any udr property. They want your money, and could care less about your wellbeing. They advertise a clean and friendly environment...they provide far from that. This is a horrible place to live, infested with brown recluse spiders from day one, 1st 60 days I caught 45 spider (all brown recluse) and very poor response to my needs they even missed 4 scheduled sprays for the spiders and they would always give some lame excuse if you got one at all, at the end of my lease they even quit communicating, very unprofessional, would not recommend at all. read more

THEY LEFT ME HOMELESS! STAY AWAY FROM THEM AT ALL COST! I paid a deposit, signed a lease, quit my job and transferred all my utilities to move from New Hampshire to Nashville. The day before I was set to move down, they called me and said the previous tenant was no longer moving out and that they didn't have anywhere for me to stay. They left me HOMELESS. I don't understand how this is legal but signing a lease with them is not worth potentially losing housing over. Absolutely terrible. read more

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! They charge $300 a pet and we don't get are money back. After you already know that they will mess up the rug and the blinds and still charge a is for that! You charge for parking and you don't get your own parking spot unless you pay more money for a private spot. The water in the apartment never stays warm. They charge you money after you move out and there going to renovate the apartment anyway ! And the neighbors are the worst !! I mean the worst we have ever had in my life there load Obnoxious rude and when we tell the office they don't do anything when we called the cops (4 times) they didn't do anything either and then we told management and they still don't care and did nothing for us. It was a long 2 years and I'm glad my wife and I bought a house because this place was a joke over priced and management was horrible and no I don't recommend this place to anyone !! This is a great apartment complex. Location is convenient, located right off the interstate, the staff is very friendly, and the price is great. They have a great pool and workout facility too. The apartments themselves have updated appliances, fireplaces, and large living areas. Covered parking is available for $10 extra a month. Also it's very quit. I hardly hear my neighbors and the community living here is very diverse. Good mix of races. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because it's in madison. The closet Walmart is ghetto and the Kroger is a little sketchy but not bad. But short drive into town. read more

MOVE OUT SCAM: I give it three stars because the building is very nice and I never had any issues with neighbors. I have lived in 10 apartment complexes and have never had this SCAM pulled on me. I'm aware that apartment complexes try to nickel and dime you at move-out so my apartment was flawless when I left. During the initial walk through every scuff and scrape was marked so I wouldn't be charged for someone else's damages. At the final walk through they pulled back the carpet and said there was pet stains and the entire carpet had to be replaced ($280). Nothing was visible from the surface. A good carpet cleaning could have fixed it. I never left my dog out unsupervised and never witnessed an accident. The stains could have been from the previous resident. So there goes my $300 pet deposit. But NO!!!! the pet fees are just to have the dog on the property and can't be applied to presumed damages! So now I still owe money that should be covered from all the outrageous deposit fees. Thank god I bought a house so I don't have to deal with this BS anymore. read more

Do NOT move here! My husband and I moved here and lived here for 3 years and during that time had a baby. At first, everything seemed pretty normal for apartment standards. HOWEVER, there are NO security cameras, no security officers, and no gates. The first year after we moved in, someone was held at gunpoint outside, and there has been car break-ins as well as at least one burglary. This area is not the safest! We've also spotted needles before around the property. Dog poop is everywhere, so I didn't feel comfortable most of the time letting my child play in the lawn. As far as staff goes, there are a few decent people that I have nothing against. Andre, Randy in maintenance, and Cathy are all pretty nice and helpful. However when it comes to big dog decisions, it's down to Nancy. Also, just as an FYI, they charge "valet trash" but really it is a joke. They don't come to pick up your trash at the door. You have to take it out yourself to the big dumpster. Now, to the biggest point I'd like to make is upon move-out. I called ahead of time to see what all needed to be done/clean as I noticed that we had a small couple of stains of hair dye on some spots and they told me not to worry about it, that it would come out of the $100 cleaning fee they charge you at the end, regardless of how well you clean. Well, they ended up charging us $200 on top of that to replace the carpet. They said this is a depreciated charge and that it cost them $1000 to replace the carpet, although the few stains we had could have easily just been replaced rather than the whole floor. Now, what I think they do, is replace the carpet no matter how long you live there and no matter what condition your carpet is in, so just be warned that you will end up paying SOMETHING for the carpet. Also, make sure you get proof of what the carpet looks like if you DO move in, beforehand. I'm not talking just basic inspection, I mean, lift up the carpet yourself or hire a professional to look at it and get proof of the condition of the carpet. Because what they do at the end is lift up the carpet to see if there are stains that aren't visible to the eye above the carpet. They won't tell you this until move out inspection. read more

I don't do reviews often but I've lived a lot of places (most of them turned out not so great) but BRECKENRIDGE is by far the best place I've lived in years. I had a rough time looking for a place I could have my 13 pound dog. Nashville not the most pet friendly I had friends living here that enjoyed it so I thought it would be the right fit for me. The apartment I lived in wasn't remodeled (not a downside) my one bedroom had a walk in closet, large living room (which I needed for my big furniture) and a SCREENED IN PORCH! That was the selling point for me! Any maintenance issue was quickly and efficiently solved by Randy and his staff. By the way RANDY the head of maintenance is an absolute gem you don't find people like him anymore he's the best! Meghan in the office is so sweet, down to earth and helpful I would come by the office just to say hi! Bottom line here is you have a well maintained, pet friendly apartment community that's clean, quiet tucked away right outside nashville.. 12 minutes East Nashville, close to the airport, with a friendly knowledgeable staff who respects you and your home and your animals. This property is worth me posting about because I'm telling you I've lived a lot of places and this one was the only one I was sad to leave. read more
