i LOVE this hotel. As soon a we walked through the front door we were given a moist towel to cool us down from the heat followed by a nice welcome drink. All Inclusibe with food everywhere anytime of the day. 11 restaurants to choose from. little side stations such as pizza, sandwiches and burgers/wings If you don't want to sit down. The drinks were wonderful and steady flowing. Hotel is beautiful with a contemporary look. there is something to do every hour. Entertainment like no other!!! I have been eating all day but feel great. Fresh food and even better tasting than being at home. Definetly coming back and encourage you to Do the same. From the moment I arrived at the hotel the fresh cool towels was probably the best customer service I experienced during my entire stay from the resort staff. I was excited to experience the resort during my first time in Mexico, but was overall sorely disappointed Lobby: Check-in was smooth and easy. Daryl was great!Contactless room entry is really convenient with the only downside if your phone dies while being out all day (tip: always carry a charger with you) The lobby bar (Wink) was small yet had the friendliest staff.m every time. During my stay it was always busy yet remained clean and with good flow. Compared to other bars where I was not acknowledged for more than 5 minutes. The experience concierge staff was extremely rude (Rodi). I was attempting to gather information for clients as I own and operate a travel business and until I mentioned it my encounter was not welcoming nor friendly. The Nook Cafe was a daily stop for coffee, ice cream, or another tasty pastry/dessert. Another high point and easily a favorite location. Room: The room was nice and spacious, but the bathroom floor near the toilet was extremely slippery so I would be very cautious if you have mobility issues or are traveling with any elderly guests. I also had water leaking from the speaker in the bathroom which I'm guessing was from the room above. I reported it twice and it was never addressed my entire stay. The view was calming from the 22nd floor. Housekeeping: Amazing, friendly, personable and one of the saving graces for my stay. Ancillary staff period were the heartbeat of this resort. From the men cleaning windows, elevators, mopping floors,etc. Every single person whose day to day job wasn't to interact with guests were very kind and always seemed happy to speak and/or smile at you. Restaurants: I tried all restaurants except Kibbah (Middle Eastern), Spumante (Italian), and Silk City (Asian). The food was decent at all of the restaurants, but the French (Coquette) was my favorite although the customer service wasn't the best. The most disappointing customer service was at Picante. It was a late evening 10:20pm and the server never came back to the table and they had begun preparing the restaurant for the next morning. Fish Tails was my best experience interacting with staff at the restaurants. Marco and Roberto were phenomenal!! Activities: I highly recommend the Spanish lessons classes with Polet and Santi as they were so much fun and really brightened the day. Conclusion: I will not return to this location for some time nor send clients due to this experience. I will continue to visit other Inclusive Collection resorts in Mexico as I've had great experiences at those in Dominican Republic so I remain hopeful that Mexico has great experiences to offer from this brand. read more

Beautiful resort, room, and beach. However, staff/management is not as accommodating as I thought they should be. I was booked in a ocean view room with my husband. This ocean view had a beautiful pool view and panoramic beach scene. Here's where things went bad. My room reeked of moldy/mildew smell the moment I entered it. I went downstairs to inform front receptionist name Fernanda and she said she'll send maintenance over to resolve the issue. Maintenance come while I was in the room and we get temporary relief. My husband and I head out to spend few hours at the beach, we head back to our room and the smell just hits us, again. It's late and I tolerate the odor having to sleep with a pillow over my face to filter out the pungent odor. Next morning we speak to front desk again and they again send maintenance. Maintenance comes, does something to reduce the moldy odor. We leave our room to eat breakfast and spend time by the pool. We get back to our room and the smell of mildew/mold greets us yet again. Frustrated, m husband and I finally ask to speak to a manager. Manager comes by and says "there's no ocean view rooms available - mind you, my husband and I had one of the best ocean view room. We were willing to downgrade, if there weren't any ocean view/poolside view rooms available. They pretend they didn't have any rooms available bc they were "99%" full. Then later they said they will have a room available if we are ok with downgrading. We felt ripped off. Cheated. They made little efforts to giving us another ocean view room. As we left our room, we saw people from ocean viewed rooms walking out with their luggages. We even met people that had ocean view rooms that were checking out that same day. Im very disappointed at that. For that, 2 stars is fair. read more

Would give this resort 0 stars, my husband booked for one person online instead of two and the hotel wanted to charge us an additional $250 for another person. We informed them the price is exactly the same on the website for two people and they still refused to accommodate us since we didn't book at the hotel when we booked directly with corporate Hyatt. Not to mention I am pregnant, we came at 6:45, so all inclusive wouldn't even apply for us since we didn't get any breakfast or lunch and would just be having dinner. Terrible service and first impression after making us pay an additional $200, we go to get dinner and have to wait 45 minutes for a table at the all inclusive resort. The room they gave us faced major traffic and road noise so sitting on balcony was not enjoyable. read more

Excellent, brand new resort, just opened December 7, 2021. My room was excellent, great bed, rain shower and stocked mini bar. Lively pool with loud music if that's not your thing they have other pool's and beach! Many Restaurant options, food was well prepared! The only thing I'll say, I'm 60, solo, female traveler and the crowd leans more towards 30, 40 somethings, but I throughly enjoyed being around all the action, made me feel young again! As much as I'm a fan of new properties this one missed the mark for several reasons independent of it's newly opened status, rain shower, outdoor fire pits, 24 hr cafe, modern decor, and entertainment. There were several building , hygienic/sanitation, and customer service mishaps that prevent me from recommending this property even as a World of Hyatt member. Here's how the resort failed in meeting expectations: 1. First night my ceiling was leaking water, yes leaking water and no one offered to change the room even after maintenance came to the room looking worried and concerned after finding a cloth plugging the water. I had to demand a new room. The new room was missing amenities such as slippers so I requested it four times from the front desk to then receive used, dirty slippers. How offensive. When I went to inquire with the housekeeper why she bought them she conveniently didn't understand English which is true of most of the customer facing staff. This is problematic when there's an issue. 2. I am a pescatarian and my friend has a debilitating shellfish allergy yet the hotel didn't clearly label food items. Often times they used the same cooking utensils to prepare raw to cooked beef, chicken, seafood, and veggies. Not to mention it's all cooked on the same grill. This is a disgusting and food borne illnesses incident waiting to happen. For example, I witnessed ham in the green peppers at the morning omelette station. And the late night dining menu has zero options for non meat eaters except for french fries. Perhaps you might offer salads, peanut jelly, or grilled cheese. 3. The concierge doesn't have change for large US dollar bills instead they send me to a bar tender who miscounted my money. 4. All receipts such as spa and hotel folio are listed in pesos which is confusing. When I asked the staff for the eso to usdconversion details it was not happily given to me instead I was given excuses and had to be overly assertive. 5. I requested not to have my room cleaned and they cleaned it anyway without my permission 6. The wait staff is horrible at Spoon and Fish Nets. They rarely came to take our drink orders regardless of the number of people in the restaurant. The service was the same bad and non-existent. 7. On several occasions I witnessed several chefs taking dirty money within the same hands they were using to prepare food which is disgusting. 8. The food in the cafe is open without cover meaning people often walk up with their bare hands and grab food which is unsanitary. I wish these items were covered or distributed by staff versus random guests walking up with unclean hands grabbing whatever they desire. 9. Most of the staff cannot communicate in English with their guests. This doesn't give a good first impression especially when there's an issue or calling down to the front desk. 10. Why did the water just shut off while I was in the middle of a shower? So much was wrong with this Hyatt. I wouldn't stay here again. Although the weather and beach was nice, service and experience matter. Definitely not the Hyatt brand I know, trust, and once preferred. read more

Breathless is truly breathless from the lobby to the rooms to the pools to the restaurants my husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary and they decorated our door and gave us a free bottle of champagne so sweet ! The only reason I'm giving a 4 stars and not 5 is because the sales people at the resort are way to pushy as soon as we checked in they offer discounted specials but ask you attend a 1 1/2 hour presentation the following day but that's is not something we wanted to do on vacation and everyday walking by the lobby during the morning they try to make us attend by offering specials But other then that it was great the staff is so awesome and friendly read more

Amazing resort, beware of the constant hustle. Food was decent. The drinks are decent. The views are amazing. The ocean has so much low tow it can look a little dirty. When we first arrived we had to wait quite a bit. Also, we we're swindled into a timeshare type of thing that they wanted us to spend about $1200 upfront and wouldn't take no for an answer. Furthermore, I'd recommend this resort to young couples and singles who are looking to party all day and night. I came here with my boyfriend and we had a great stay, the food was not the best but we looked past it as there was good service, even better service as my boyfriend made sure to always tip the service workers. Unfortunately, we missed our flight and came back to see if there was any availability for one more night. They told us no which wasn't a problem but the way they treated us was quite rude. They told us we couldn't stay on the premise because we didn't have a reservation. Our checkout was 11am and we came back to the hotel from the airport around 9am. You'd think they'd be more lenient to us as we did stay there and technically we could still use the hotels services until 11am even if we did checkout around 7:20am (as we already paid for our stay there). I didn't appreciate that they told us we couldn't even stay in the lobby as we looked for another hotel! They made us go downstairs near the entrance and we had a time limit of 30 minutes or we'd be kicked off the property. I understand safety precautions as this hotel was very secure and you could tell they prioritized safety but we were guests that left the premises for only an hour. We were able to find another all-inclusive hotel at TRS Coral Hotel. Hopefully the costumer service is better there. I really wish the costumer service was better and they weren't rude to us just because we no longer had a reservation. We were costumers and I wish they'd treated us with care as it was stressful enough that we missed our flight. Our spring break ends on Monday and we will have to rush back to UCSB Sunday night. I would've left a 5 star review if they were more consistent with their costumer service. Hope this review helps. read more

This is a very nice and clean resort and the staff are all very friendly. Please remember to tip the staff because they work very hard. The food is disappointing though, which is not uncommon at all inclusive resorts. The beach isn't the best, but pool areas are nice. Be sure to decline their offer to give you a "short presentation" on their properties. It's just a sales tactic to sell you time shares. No seat covers on any of the public restrooms downstairs The exhale club member concierge lobby smells VERY strongly like a bad sewage smell and they keep the doors open alot so it leaks to the entire lobby, it is very unpleasant. I almost puked several times due to the bad smell. Our exhale club suite also had the sewage smell at several times during our showers. Our shower also completely lost water off and on during our showers the entire stay and we had to wait for the water to turn back on to finish our shower The food at all the restaurants was horrible and bland and definitely not authentic. They didn't have any mexican restaurants on-site which is what you expect and look forward to when coming to Mexico, not french or itallian. The Buffet food was mediocre and we only ate there once. Pretty sure my husband got food poisoning from the food there becuase it just sits out and food poisoning from the French restaurant. He had 2 different days/situations of severe vomiting and another day uncontrollable diarrhea which caused him to the inability to be able to hold it and make it to our room and had an accident in the hallway which the hotel staff coerced us into paying $1,000 or we had to leave the resort, which we are in a different country with all other hotels sold out, we had nowhere to go so we had no choice but to pay $1,000 to stay at the hotel after our first night there. My husband offered to clean it up but they would not allow him to, he didn't have the key to our room and they wouldn't let him in the room, even though he is on the room as a guest. The way we were treated as Exhale Club guests and after explaining how he has a disability already with gastro issues, and then food poisoning on top of it, they did not care, nor did they have any remorse at all, they bribed us and coerced us into paying $1,000 to stay or leave the hotel. The hotel is on the far end of the hotel zone so you can't walk to anything you have to take a taxi which is $20-$30 each trip, so I would recommend a better hotel closer in the hotel zone. The entertainment at this resort is lacking, it wasn't very fun or lively and I would have expected more and better entertainment at an adults only resort. One of the nights it was 3 women doing runway walks in 2 different dresses and 2 people painting. Very boring. The drinks were watered down and horrible Room service takes a min. of 2 hours to receive, especially late at night even longer, so beware. Then they bang on the door at 2 am with the food after you have fallen asleep. The resort doesnt give straws with drinks which is ridiculous The party pool was really cold, they should turn the heat up on windy colder days, we were freezing and everyone else was too The ONLY mexican restaurant on site, Picante, was closed becuase there were "too many guests" at the hotel, so we missed out on that which we were looking forward to. The communication from the hotel is lacking on checkout process and event location changes. I came here with my wife and our friends. First appearance is great, hotel LOOKS nice. But service is horrible, you can skip the Mexican food, Italian food was good, French was good, Asian was good. Don't buy tickets from Andrea for coco bango she lied to us. We bought 3 tables royal service they gave us 2 tables. We left. We scheduled a massage for 4 people at 10am, we got there at 9:15am and they said we are late it was at 9, when the guy told us 10 so we ended up getting a 20 min massage, they shut the water off to the resort because of plumbing issues, so we couldn't even shower or anything. I have been to Cancun many times different resorts and breathless was HORRIBLE. Cheap alcohol, Stay away. RIU which is a basic resort is 10 times better than this. Very dissatisfying. The good, bad, and ugly of the brand new all-inclusive resort, Breathless Cancun Soul, Cancun Mexico. Spark notes: its almost all AMAZING! Let me begin with the fact I stayed in this resort during it's opening week. Some amenities and features were unavailable. I recognize this and took it into consideration while writing this review. Let me just say I was hesitant upon arrival to Breathless Cancun Soul. All the lack of information, questionable opening and such. I know everyone's experiences here at this resort are going to be different. BUT as for myself... I loved it, but it had some issues. I'm not sure if those issues were opening issues or just personal dislikes. I'll get into those in a minute. Are there some hiccups, definitely. Some kinks to get worked out, of course. Anyone who booked for the opening week or even month for that matter should definitely expect some issues along the way. With that said, my stay at Breathless Cancun Soul was far more positive than negative. Starting with my room, I booked a OceanFRONT (not ocean view) Junior King Suite Xhale club. We were greeted with a private check-in in the Xhale lounge and provided champagne during the process. Directly after check-in, we were asked to sit at a table and given a little speech about the "Unlimited Vacation Club." We declined and they didn't bring it up again, I'm impressed they didn't pressure the sale. There were some very tasty treats in the Xhale club lounge available throughout the day and some top tier liquor not available at all bars. We ate at all the available restaurants, which included Conquette, Fish Nets, Spumante, and the breakfast buffet. Xhale Club room upgrades are absolutely worth it. (Maybe not opening week... but they will be to future guests) The room was clean and elegant. The style was perfect. In-room amenities were also great. We didn't have a tablet as advertised, but other guest did. The oceanfront upgrade is a must. Many reports of shower flooding issues. I don't believe the drainage system in the showers is enough when running both rain showers. Our shower floods everyday. It's been *fixed* once. But when functioning properly the duel rain shower is AMAZING. Food was out of this world delicious. I can't even begin to write words to Adequately review the food at all restaurants. Even room service was delicious. The food was Michelin star worthy. Drinks were flowing and well filled. The selection of top shelf liquor was impressive. Tip well and you will drink well. Roof top pools and bars were fun and entertaining. Especially the Xhale Club rooftop pool. A perk of the Xhale Club upgrade. WOW the view from up there is amazing. The staff was EXCELLENT. They were attentive and externally polite. Anyway, I didn't use all amenities and services offered by this amazing resort. But it is safe to assume that those were just as perfect as everything else. Like I said some minor hiccups but those are mostly to blame on a brand new opening. I cannot wait to return to this beautiful resort. If you're questioning if you should book. YES, BOOK ASAP. read more

Management totally screwed up 50th birthday party. Has been booked months in advance. We have 21 people here. My travel agent added up we have spent around $50,000 for this trip. Do not do an event here if they don't care about our group they're not gonna care about yours. I have all the confirmation paperwork from the rooftop pool we booked For the party. When we get here they let us know they can put us down in the public area by the lower pole which is extremely loud and not what we asked for or paid for. The management literally does not care. In fact we asked multiple times to speak to the manager and the concierge people let us know they would get fired if they involved the management. We have stayed at so many wonderful AMR properties. If I could give 10 stars to Erick, Rocio, Diego, Miguel, Sofia and Hugo, I would. If it wasn't for them, this resort would not be worth rating. They are the ones who turned our experience around for us. The resort is so unorganized and they have poor customer service. Our AC stopped working around 6PM one evening and somehow a ticket was never submitted to maintenance after calling it in and walking down to the receptionist to notify them. When maintenance was finally notified, they were in our room until 3AM and it couldn't be fixed. Instead of offering to move us immediately they said we could sleep in another room and then go back to the room with no AC OR downgrade us. There were 3 of us (all ladies) and they wanted to put us in a room with one king bed. Eventually we got moved the next day but it was after several heated conversations. One of the ladies holds a Time Share and so the 3rd one paid over $1000 for her stay which was not worth it in my opinion. Our shower also started to flood when using the rainfall shower head. The jacuzzi tub on the balcony took FOREVER to fill so we didn't get a chance to enjoy it unless we wanted to be in the room for several hours waiting on it. I have visited another resort the first year of the pandemic and they had so many activities for the guest, NOT this resort. The events they had scheduled for the evening changed or canceled so their itinerary was never accurate. Everything closed by 10-11PM. I understand being understaffed due to COVID but they should have a back up plan. I do want to thank Erick, Rocio, Diego, Miguel, Sofia and Hugo!! They are rockstars. read more

DO NOT BOOK HERE!! Where to begin. Upon checkin we were given a room with a king bed for a 3 person room so not what we booked. We had to wait until the next day and we were only there five nights in order to receive our correct room. We are 22 and graduating from College soon, so this was our graduation trip. We are responsible girls and like to have some drinks and not too much partying, but that part wasnt so bad except that they make you put ice in all of the drinks and even when ordering shots they put ice in them. We found the drinks to be very watered down. ALSO.... do not go to this resort if you are in your 20's. They discriminate and you are treated like second class citizens if you are young. They either think you shouldn't be able to afford such a place or that you will make a fool of yourself and drink too much. We did neither of those things. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM... I had come in from the pool with a coffee and my friends were behind me. The cleaning person had just left the room and mopped. I slipped, fell and was bleeding. I didnt think much of it and cleaned myself up because Im young, but the real trouble came when we decided to call down and let them know that the white desk chair had been spilled on. it had a spill the size of the palm of my hand. They immediately presented us with a bill for 200 for cleaning the chair even though my mother (UVC preferred member) and the one who had booked five rooms at this resort, was on the phone with management and the Xhale club for two hours trying to let them know just how ridiculous this charge was. She told them that Hyatt does not charge for a stain on a chair and especially since I had slipped and they seemed more concerned about their chair than my sprained ankle. I was then told I hadnt reported the sprain in time. Well, I reported it two hours after it happened. THEY WOULDNT LET US LEAVE THE RESORT THE NEXT DAY UNTIL THE 200 WAS PAID FOR THE STAIN. I ask you... how many hotels charge for a palm sized accidental coffee stain. I feel taken advantage of due to my age and it made my friends tell their friends and parents and they lost a lot of future business from us. My mom was unable to get them to budge even though we are preferred UVC members and my friends and i were very respectful and had tried to explain our situation. Moral of the story... DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU CARE ABOUT BEING CHARGED IF YOU SHOULD ACCIDENTALLY SPILL SOMETHING OR ANYTHING ELSE SHOULD HAPPEN. read more
