Went on Saturday to Pierpont General store to see Megan Boyer. My friends and I kind of follow her…read morearound because we love her music and her vibes. Since she was playing at Pierpont in Columbia ...and seeing as how we live in Colombia...we definitely had to go! Right off the bat, this venue is cool and eclectic. The small stage is perfect for local bands, and the open yard seating where you can bring your own chairs and blankets is perfect for spring and summer nights. Couple this with the fire pits, string lights, heated patio for eating, multiple bars and an actual general store... and you get a recipe for greatness. My only complaint was the food could've been better. For the price we paid, is that pizza frozen and reheated? Because that's what it felt like. I did like the artichoke dip. It wasn't soupy like mentioned in other reviews, and I enjoyed that it came with naan! But I found myself wishing I had ordered a sandwich as they looked much better than that sad pizza. Service was admittedly slow, but they were very busy so I can't really be too upset about it. I think this venue is better if you eat dinner before coming, and then just enjoy the outdoor seating live music and bars. Regardless, I'll definitely be back for other shows through the summer!

It's every bit as quaint as it looks in photos. The staff was friendly and pleasant, if a little perplexed as to why we had driven two hours just to eat there. They told us about some places on the surrounding state park we should see, and we're just generally very helpful. The bar and indoor seating area is very small, but there is seating on the large deck outside that was comfortable, even though it was a hot summer day. The sandwiches were large and tasty, the drinks were well-made, and it was all reasonably priced. We will definitely return sometime when they have live music outdoors, it seems like it would be a great time.

Their NFC (Near Field Communications) terminal is always "Closed Please Use Other Register" because almost none of their employees have been trained to use NFC. As customers we are forced to use the increasingly vulnerable and outdated "Swipe" method of credit/debit card payment. Break Time store managers need to step up and train their employees.
