In 2011 moved me from Houston & destroyed several valuable antiques of mine and never told me they just glued the pieces together and it wasn't until a couple years later the glue started to ooze out of the pieces &that's how I discovered that they had broken them horrible horrible people do not use them. they broke a lamp,said they were going to have it fixed & took it with them & then I came home one day & found the pieces of the lamp just sitting outside no explanation no response and they also left my locked file cabinet back at the old house with all my silver in it & all my valuable papers, I paid for pack & unpack BUT THEY JUST THREW EVERYTHING IN ONE ROOM. Great customer service. They have moved our home and our office - 3 moves total. They are awesome. They show up when they say they will and are kind and courteous. They took great care of our furniture. We also moved our stuff from another storage facility in town recently and they took care of everything! They picked it all up and moved it to their brand new facility. Their location is better, being right off the highway, and the price was better than we were paying before, so they are saving us money! I would recommend this place to everyone! read more

Terrible terrible terrible. They called us to see if we could pick the truck up early, and then acted like we were putting them out when we showed up. They didn't show us how to use the trailer, even though customer service said that's the first thing they should do. They didn't check our truck before giving it to us, so the wire to the trailer lights was broken, there were beer caps in the cab, and the a/c didn't work. There solution for the lights was to call customer service (instead of having us turn around and getting a new truck). I wouldn't suggest renting from them, or Budget, ever again. read more

It sounds like we had about the same experience...the two rude women at the desk, an unwillingness on their part to go above and beyond when they're at fault, a cancelled reservation without notifying us and, after blaming you (the customer), then Brazos Vally Moving blames Budget for the problem. That's the summary. Read more for details of my experience. I rented a Budget truck online through Budget's website. Brazos Valley Moving and Storage is contracted with them. I've rented trucks dozens of times over the years with multiple moves and have never had an issue. We got the confirmation email and showed up at 4:30, ready to pick up the truck as the movers were coming the next morning. And that is when we found out our reservation had been canceled because we weren't there at 4 (EVEN THOUGH THE RESERVATION EMAIL CLEARLY STATED PICK UP WAS 4:30, I still have the email) and that, if we wanted to talk to the manager, she would be in the next morning...you know, when our movers were due to show up. The first excuse the receptionist gave was that we weren't there by 4. The second excuse was that they didn't actually have a truck for us because A&M rented out all the trucks so none of those on the lot were available. This was ironic because, according to the woman's first excuse, if we'd come in half an hour earlier, we would've had a truck. The third excuse was that Budget has a glitch in their system when it comes to reservations and I should not have been able to make the reservation in the first place. HELLO?! Which is it? Honestly, no excuse was acceptable because we had our reservation email confirmation. Moving is stressful enough without having to show up and find out the truck you reserved was cancelled. I am not sure I've ever had an experience so lacking in customer care, EVER, and I am nearly 40 years old. The receptionist's response, at times, was just to stare at us. I began to film the interaction at some point, I was so in awe of her ability to not care. She was very calm but also gave the rudest responses I'd ever experienced from someone interacting with customers. I finally asked the woman if we could speak to someone else because her attitude was making it clear she didn't care and she said, "You're right, I don't." Other than slightly elevating our voices at her because we were so incredulous, we never cussed at her, yelled or threatened her. And, yet, this woman was as cold in her responses as anyone I've ever come across. We asked to speak to a manager but she'd already left. They were still open but she'd left. The woman at the counter called the manager and had a hushed conversation but the manager wouldn't speak to us. Their only solution was we could just come in the next morning and "maybe" they would have a truck for us. Maybe. There was a man there who finally stepped in to help. His office was across the entry from the desk so he overheard this convo. This is an example of serving your customers. He acknowledged the issue was between them and Budget and, since it was an in-town move and we could guarantee return within 24 hours, he would make it work for us. He also stated there were "50 other reservations" they were going to have to cancel the rest of the week because of the glitch. He told me a man had "threatened" him just days before because he found himself in the same situation we were in. If he received the I-don't-give-a-crap reception and excuses we received, I'm not surprised. At some point, don't you recognize this is a major issue and you need to get it fixed? Work it out with Budget so you don't have customers come in, expecting their rental agreement to be honored. If that can't happen and a reservation manages to go through, CALL them before the pick up so they can make alternate arrangements. And, by all means, hire people like the man who stepped in and get rid of the manager and receptionist who don't care. He recognized they were at fault and tried to make it right. Even though we were only given the truck because we were staying in town and promised to return it by 5:00 the next day, he still did his best to work out a solution. By the way, the receptionist might tell you they close at 4:30. This is interesting because she was still answering the phone at 4:55 but couldn't be bothered to fulfill my contract with Budget at 4:30. read more

Take my advice, do not use Brazos Moving & Storage unless you want damaged furniture. To properly rate this business, there should be a negative scale. Giving Brazos Moving and Storage one star is an insult to stars. I hired this company to move furniture from my home and place it in their storage facility. Approximately six months later, I made arrangements for B M & S to remove my furniture from the storage facility and load it on my trailer. Several pieces of my furniture were broken / damaged during this process. B M & S personnel placed box tape on wood furniture which damaged the finish to the extent that refinishing is necessary to repair it. A lamp was broken. A leather chair was gouged and scraped in several places. None of the furniture was properly padded / covered / protected prior to or during the move or storage. All items were very dirty / dusty from the months in their "climate controlled" storage. They didn't properly load the trailer; I had to completely unload and reload the trailer to insure safe hauling. WARNING: BAD NEWS read more

Knowing that moving trucks are sparse to none every end of summer at A&M, we decided to pre-order a truck almost 2 months in advance for our next move & confirmed 2 days before pick-up. We I arrived with my printed confirmation in hand I was turned away because they didn't have enough trucks to go around. What?! Let me start by saying Budget Truck Rental is the sorriest excuse for a rental company. Noone can make command decisions to solve problems. They farm out their business to contract locations with horrible attitudes and horrible customer service. We booked a moving truck and got a confirmation number on weds only because uhaul had no trucks available in all of the Brazos valley. Show up at 3pm per confirmation only to catch attitude from the business, Brazos Moving and Storage, saying I should have called the customer service number to book. Both ladies inform me that they have had people waiting for 3 months on a rental yet none of them were standing in the room with me. So, no relief from Brazos Valley Moving and Storage, so I call the customer service number for Budget Truck Rentals. This rep tells me he has to call the inventory manager because I told him I wasnt driving anywhere outside of College Station to get the truck. I wanted the truck brought to me since I didnt make the mistake and overbook. So the inventory manager calls me only to confirm the closest truck is in Hutto, TX and they would not entertain bringing it to me. He left me with a simple, I'm sorry. I was told to come back to Brazos Valley Moving and Storage on Saturday morning as they would have a 16' truck to replace the 12' they didnt have. Arrive promptly at 830am as instructed. I was told by the 'manager' that the reservation had been cancelled. WHAT!? She them gets into a verbal arguement with me because I am obviously mad as hell. She wont contact the owner or abyone else to help with the situation. This is the worst excuse for a rental facility I have ever experienced. The key is that Brazos Valley Moving and Storage blames Budget Truck Rentals and vice versa. Poor logistics, poor computer systems, horrible customer service from their 3rd party sites, poor problem solving skills, and it goes on and on.... needless to say...my rental from friday to sunday is not happening... read more

We were NOT happy with our Budget truck rental from Brazos Moving & Storage. The truck was absolutely filthy inside the cab and in the cargo box, and there is no excuse for that kind of filth to be given to a customer to deal with. The cab was full of mud, paper trash, and crushed plastic bottles, and the cargo box was full of mud, wads of foil, and wadded up papers. We had to do some serious cleaning before we could even think of loading our belongings into this truck. The 12 moving pads that we paid to rent were dirty and torn, and the headlights on the truck were dangerously out of adjustment, pointing skyward instead of illuminating the roadway for safe driving. The employee who rented the truck to us was rude, as well. We have rented from other Budget locations several times previously, but this location in College Station is definitely not a satisfactory location to use, and believe me, we will never make that mistake again. read more
