The bonus was that the most lovely angel was working behind the ice cream counter Ms. Nairys (sp) going by memory I how she spells her name. She quickly greeted me warmly, and very kindly. She made me one the best banana splits I have ever had. It people like this lovely lady that keeps s me coming to Braum's. She is truly awesome and very helpful. Had a TERRIBLE and frustrating experience that should have been very simple to solve. Our food order was messed up, no fries in two kid meals and a cheeseburger was given instead of a hamburger. Request was simple, give me the missing fries and exchange the cheeseburger for the ordered hamburger. I was made to get my receipt to show proof and had to explain six times to the manager what I wanted. She was nasty and very inept. read more

Ice cream is creamy and delicious, topping ooey gooey good. Cookies are fresh baked and last a while. We like the triple chocolate almond, snickerdoodle, and oatmeal raisin. Where else can you get 7 ice cream cones for around $10? The receipts continue to shock me. Occasionally we head over for dinner first, where we can satisfy all 5 kids with a bag of burgers (5 burgers for $5.75 - that's TOTAL, not each!) and a couple orders of fries. Once, in a half hearted attempt at health, I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich - a mistake I'll never repeat. Braum's is a place for basic, affordable burgers and ice cream. Stray from those staples and you're bound to be disappointed. I also stop by about once a week for buttermilk. 1/2 gallon is $1.99 - that's cheaper than anywhere else around, and it's good buttermilk. I wish they sold cream! Went through the drive through for a single scoop with m&ms in a cup, paid at the window and noticed he charged me for a burger meal. After a couple of minutes I was able to flag him to the window. He refunded my card and asked if I had a double scoop I said no, a single scoop with m&ms. I pulled up behind the car at the 2nd window in which they also had a problem with their order. I waited behind this car for almost 10 minutes until they were done. Apparently the driver was getting a refund also and left without it and the worker seemed agitated that she did a refund for no reason. The worker asked if I had a different order I said no and told her I had the ice cream which was sitting in front of her. This Braum's is in my neighborhood and I really want to like it, but more often than not they fall way short. They ALWAYS ask you to pull forward, even if no one is behind you. They claim they're "waiting on the meat" or "waiting on fries". But you wait forever, and when they bring out your food it's clearly not freshly made. Only giving it 2 stars for the shakes and ice cream, but with Rainbow Ice Cream opening up down the street I don't see a need to come back here. They used to be a lot better, years ago, but now they are mostly awful. It's really irritating that they insist you pull up, then wait, on food that's never fresh. My childhood Braums, what can I say? Other than feeling incredible old remembering how long ago I used to come here and that I am still coming here, the service has not changed much at all. I have always enjoyed coming here, relaxing in a booth with my ice cream and just watching the cars roll on by. Now as you probably realize, I've been to many braums, but this one outshines them all. When I first started coming to this Braums two years ago there was consistency I. The quality of the food and service, store cleanliness etc. I know there is a staffing shortage and supply chain blah blah but the decline in quality accuracy and general "give a damn" at this store has little to do with that. This Braum in Colleyville is disgusting. My daughter and I stop by for ice cream on a Saturday night around 8 pm, we were appalled on how the shakes were being prepared, the girls making shakes and scooping ice cream had ice cream all over their hands and they don't even wash them in between serving customer. The one girl making shakes had an accident with the mixing machine and had dripping ice cream from the cap she was wearing, the more disgusting part was it dripped right into the cup of milkshake she was making for the customer. After 5 minutes of witness this my daughter and I left, we weren't about to eat the contaminated ice cream. Will never be back to this location. Comes down to poor management and lack of training. Our purpose of stopping was for ice cream; however, I noticed they had a limited grocery section and sold other foods you could order as well. I tried one of the ice creams, Circus Animal Cookie and it was awesome; however, I ended up ordering a Orange Sherbet Shake. It was delicious. I noticed that all prices were really reasonable and the service was very friendly during my visit. My husband and I went to this Braun's location last week with our two young grandchildren. We were looking for a location that offered children's meals and ice cream for dessert. Beyond disappointed!!! We ordered two children's meals (plain cheeseburgers with fries and apple juice), as well as a grilled chicken sandwich and grilled chicken club.
